"Hello. Oh dear Come on in." Constanza happily let me into the house and let me tell you when I say house I am just kidding. It wasn't just a house but a mansion. I only see these in movies and real Estate books. I haven't even had the chance to sell a house like this. Maybe with the Shuiqiao Company we will soon be able to.

Anyway, first things first. When I branched off the mainroad following the Morinho lane signpost, I didn't expect to find a castle waiting for me. I had stopped my car for a moment to make sure I was at the right location, well I was. The house looked like it came right out of a picture book.  Gardens and gardens of well trimmed flowers, the property had a big round driveway with a big fountain of an angel in the middle. Houses like this for me were really good to admire but I couldn't see myself living in such a big house. Because first of all the inhabitants are few or even just one person. I would be scared out of my wits living in a place like this. And I felt sorry for the people who cleaned this big ass place, probably because my ass was lazy but yeah, I loved my small homely apartment.

"Thank you." I said handing Constanza a bottle of Galante Sangiovese wine, one of my favorites. "Wow, you have such a beautiful home." I complimented looking around as a maid helped me to hang  my scarf and coat on the coat rack by the door.

"Thanks dear, the house has been with us for generations." she said.

Hmm, good luck to the next generations. "That's even amazing." I said as I followed her into a big living room that was the size of both my living room, kitchen and bedroom combined. The house had pictures of probably their ancestors, on walls and other antique art pieces.

"Have a seat please while we wait for dinner." Constanza said tapping on a place next to her. I didn't have a space problem so I went and sat next to her. In that same moment, a different maid this time brought drinks and set them on the table before us. Constanza took a glass and handed it to me. "I feel so happy that you contacted me, I tried to talk to Carlos about you several times but knowing him, he kept distracting me. So, how do you know my son?"

That's the thing with older People especially women, they always had something to say. I wasn't a conversation starter so I was about glad to answer her. "We work together. His company merged with mine weeks ago."

"Brilliant, so you get to see Carlos often?"

"Not really, we just meet once in a while most especially during meetings."

"Oh, not bad at all. I am sure you don't need to see eachother all the time to be a couple."

"A couple?" my heart skipped a bit. Had Carlos already told her? This would totally spoil my revenge plans.

"Yes," she said looking me dead in the eyes. "You two suit eachother perfectly."

"Oh. Why would you say that?" I ask confused.

"Well..."

"Abuela." A little voice interrupted her and we both turned to see Bella running to her Grandma.

"Great, you are awake." Constanza stretched her hand towards the little girl who moved quickly to take it and when she turned and saw me, shied away hiding her face in her Grandma's bossom. "Hey Bella, do you remember Leticia, the star lady?" The little girl peeped at me once then nodded with a smile and suddenly turned away back to hiding.

Okay, here we go. I am not so good with kids at all. And I never know what to say or when to say it. "Hi Bella." I manage to say and tried to smile. I think children sense how we feel and our moods determine their reaction.

"Hi." she suddenly turns and looks at me and asks, "Did you come to see me?" What, yeah right.

"Umm, well I came to see all of you." I try to smile failing completely because I realise I look like a maniac.

"I have a doll house, do you want to see it?" she asks with a big smile but I don't know what to answer, because I don't really want to see any doll houses, well unless it's for sale.

"Bella dear, its chilly and already dark outside, next time Miss. Leticia will see your doll house, okay?" I sigh in very much relief and give the girl a big grin which she returns.

"What time is Papa coming back?" she changes her point of interest and I finally relax.

"He will be here in..." we hear the door open and footsteps moving. "And there he is." Bella doesn't wait to listen, she has already set off towards the sound of the footsteps.

"Papa, you're home." I hear her say in happiness.

"Hi Pumpkin, missed me?" I hear his voice and brace myself.

"Yes, I missed you so so much. Do you know what I did today?"

"Why don't you tell me?" his voice sounds so gentle and amused. He was an asshole, treating other people harshly but acting like an angel before his family.

"Well, Grandma took me to pick some flowers and we had a picnic and ate apple pie and cranberry juice."

"Wow, you must be very satisfied." he chuckled, "And where is Grandma now?"

"Oh, she's in the room with Miss Leticia."

"What?" I heard his startled whisper then footsteps hurrying towards us.

Constanza looked at me her eyes dancing with laughter. She was sure worried about nothing. Carlos appeared carrying his daughter and his eyes went directly at me then softly turned to look at his mother. He put Bella down and walked slowly towards us.

"I didn't know we had visitors." he said, his face betraying no emotion.

"You must know your colleague already Carlos." Constanza said and I remained quiet watching him.

"Ofcoarse mother." he smiled at Constanza, "But.."

"Dinner is served." A maid announced cutting Carlos off. Thank God.

"This way dear." Constanza stood up and motioned with her hand towards the dining area.

"Go on with Grandma baby." Carlos told his daughter who gladly took her Grandma's hand. He stood back and looked at me. My point was to ignore him and continue towards the dining area. "If I were you, I would get out right now." his voice was so hard.

"Too bad you aren't me." I smiled at him.

"What are you doing here?" he asked confused.

"What does it look like?" I ask and try to get passed him, wrong move. I should have known because he pulls me back and turns me to face him.

"You are not welcome in my home. When I told you you can pretend to be my girlfriend I didn't mean you can come close to my family."

"Whatever Mr. Morinho. I need nothing from your family. I just need to let you know that you can only push me this hard. If I can manage to come this close, don't doubt how much closer I can get only to get back at you for being the asshole that you are to me."

"Are you threatening me?" he caught me by my elbow pulling me closer.

"I don't make threats. You probably have less information about me. Go do your homework." I pulled my hand forcefully from his clutch, "Now if you will excuse me, I'm going to have dinner." I said and walked with a smile towards the dining area.

"There you are. What were you two talking about?" Constanza asked looking at the person behind me.

"Just business."

"Nothing." We both said at the same time and Constanza shook her head probably thinking something else.

The dinner went on perfectly fine, apart from someone who kept throwing daggers at me. I enjoyed my meal and later after everything was cleared, we had some drinks and by 8pm, I was on the road.
