To be as supportive as possible, Dad and I were going with Finn and Quinn for their first ultrasound, in the car on the way there, both of them had been silent as they were both worried about what would happen. I couldn't imagine how they were feeling with all the pressure but whenever I tried to talk to Quinn, she would just pretend that everything was fine.

When they went into the room, Dad and I sat in the waiting area and tried to pass the time by reading magazines but it didn't help that they were all focused around baby's and becoming parents. Dad seemed to keep watching other couples in the room, they seemed really happy and I just wished that my friends weren't in this situation because I hated them being put through this.

"Hey." Finn said quietly as he shut the door behind him.

Dad put down the magazine he had been pretending to read. "Hey."

"Baby's fine. No mutations or anything, not even any cool ones. Thanks for taking us today, I was too freaked out to drive."

"Yeah, no problem." Dad noticed that Finn was spacing out. "Hey, are you doing alright?"

"No, I mean, how am I supposed to take care of a real person? My Mom won't even let me have fish."

"I thought Quinn wanted to give the baby up for adoption?" I questioned, knowing that that was the plan she had told me.

"For now, but we both know that's not my call. It sucks. Get all the stress and worry and none of the control. It's cool Mr Schue, you wouldn't understand."

I stood up when Quinn came out of the room, she looked a bit shellshocked and I couldn't blame her, everything was happening so quickly for her and we all knew that she couldn't keep it a secret much longer. Then her life would change even more, when everyone finds out about the secret she's been trying to hide.

We sat around the kitchen table, Dad and I had just warmed up whatever Mom had cooked earlier that night and were trying to enjoy a family meal together but kept getting distracted. As soon as we had sat down for tea, the house phone rang and Mom had been on it for fifteen minutes, talking to Aunt Kendra about dozens of different topics; the most recent was that she shouldn't have the baby vaccinated in hospital.
