Our main focus this year was Nationals, Dad didn't want us to have any distractions when it came to winning and we all agreed that this was for the best. He asked for my help to set up a Boot Camp but I decided that I shouldn't be involved because some people would class it as favouritism, if I was running the class and not joining in. So, we enlisted the help of Mike, who was the best dancer on the team.

"Alright New Directions! Big news, as you all know Vocal Adrenaline came in second last year at Nationals."

"The only good thing to come out of that lost weekend." Rachel elbowed him in the ribs, making him wrap his arm around her shoulder. "Besides us getting back together."

"Well, the boosters at Carmel don't donate tens of thousands of dollars every year to come in second. So, they fired Dustin Goolsby and they're having trouble finding a new Coach."

"It seems like no one wants to take on that pressure." Tina smiled as I turned and high-fived her, I was glad that Vocal Adrenaline were struggling with something, now they knew how we've felt for the last two years.

"That means they're vulnerable. And if we work hard enough, we can beat them. Which is why I've realised that I can't direct the musical this year."

"But Mr Schue, you can't cancel the musical. My New York dreams depend on it." Rachel argued, standing out of her seat to try and get the message across.

"I'm not cancelling it; I'm just not directing it. My sole focus is Nationals. Every day after school, I'm instituting a mandatory Booty Camp, so that we can work on our dancing. Just for the people who need it, Finn, Puckerman, Hummel-"

"I must protest!"

"You can't just have one move Kurt, it's like this sashay and it's super distracting." Mike said as he demonstrated the move and made everyone laugh.

"Jones."

Mercedes' eyes widened. "What? Hell, to the no."

"You told me once, you were Beyoncé, you don't think she spends extra time in the dance studio?" Dad asked and that made her stop arguing, he pointed to Mike. "Mike Chang has offered to be my assistant and we start tomorrow."

Blaine raised his hand. "Mr Schuester, is it okay if I drop by for a little bit? I want to try and catch up with you guys."

Dad smiled and nodded to Blaine, before his attention was diverted back to Rachel, who wasn't happy about what was happening to the school musical. "Mr Schue, I'm glad you're concerned with our special needs members, but what about me?"

"Ladies and gentlemen, your co-musical directors, Miss Pillsbury and Coach Beiste." He presented them as they both walked into the choir room. "Miss Pillsbury did such a good job with Rocky Horror; I knew she could handle the job."

"And I'm here to keep the football guys in check, I've also talked them into playing the Jets." Coach Beiste explained and I was impressed, I wouldn't have thought any of the football guys would agree to helping us since the mishap of the halftime show last year.
