Invitationals had worked out better for us than we could have anticipated. Despite the fact that Kurt had gone missing for the entire competition, I was able to help Rachel prepare the Glee Club for their first competition, now that we had Kitty and a setlist of songs that would make Sue emotionally vulnerable. Sam had even done his bit as he had convinced Spencer to also join the Glee Club, so now we had six members which still wasn't a lot but it was better than four.

Everyone was shocked when the New Directions hit the stage and didn't end up sucking. Vocal Adrenaline may have made some comments about our simple setlist but we didn't care and we ended up winning without an extravagant performance but with just our voices and some wooden stools. Dad admitted in the end that he was wrong to have gone back on his word and apologised but we were past that argument and were just glad that for once things had worked in favour of the Glee Club.

I agreed to take a back seat from Glee Club duties to focus on coaching the Cheerio's but then something even more exciting happened as Brittany invited me over to her house so that I could help with wedding planning. I couldn't wait and got there even earlier than she had asked because I wanted to help in any way possible; it wasn't my wedding but I was going to make sure that it was the best wedding ever for my two best friends. But I was surprised to find Artie also turning up at the house, getting an invite about wedding planning too.

Brittany didn't tell us anything when she unlocked the front door, she just led us straight to her bedroom without really telling us what was going on. I had been excited about wedding planning but now that Artie was here, I didn't know if that was what we were actually going to do or if she had lied to me, just to get me to go to her house.

"Welcome to my bedroom."

"I've been in here before." Artie said as we entered the room.

I nodded, taking a seat on the bed. "Yeah, me too."

"I have a question: I would like to hire you to be Santana's and my wedding planner." Brittany said, sitting on the bed and talking to Artie. "For free!"

"Wow, I'm honoured."

I raised an eyebrow, thinking that I was supposed to be helping with the wedding planning but now she had asked someone else. "Wait, what am I doing here?"

"Moral support."

Artie raised his hand to get the focus back on him, but I wasn't really listening because I was annoyed that my role had been given away so quickly. "Okay, why me?"

"Partially because if felt like you've had nothing to do all year and also because you're a director. And I thought you could really help me bring my vision to life."

"Pitch it to me." Artie said, pulling out a pen and paper to make notes.

She reached behind her and pulled out a notebook. "I made a list of all the things that remind me of Santana because I thought one of them could be a great theme."
