Now that everything was back to normal at school and we had somehow survived every curve ball that had been thrown our way, we could now focus on preparing for Regionals which was a week away. Dad had officially changed his mind about the setlist and even wanted us to perform one of Marley's original songs which was amazing because she has written some amazing songs.

We were quietly celebrating our home life as well, because after the horror that had been the Valentine's Day wedding, Dad and Emma had managed to sort their differences out and had started dating again. Now we were happy to say that they were engaged again and they were planning another, smaller and less stressful wedding after Regionals. I was glad that my Dad was going to get his chance at happiness with Emma, especially after all the drama that we'd all been through.

"Alright guys. I just got some wonderful news from Rachel. She's got a second call-back for Funny Girl. And that's not the only good news; Brittany is at MIT, touring the campus because she's got an early acceptance."

Rachel and I hadn't really spoken in a while, we tried to text every now and then but it was hard. She was super busy with NYADA and now with preparing for her auditions, that she understandably didn't have time to chat to me. I wished that we could talk more often but I knew she had bigger things to worry about and when she had the time, then we would have a proper catchup.

Brittany was another story, despite believing that this year we were going to be best friends, we hadn't really spent any time together. I helped to get her back on the Cheerio's, then she lost the election against Blaine, told us twice that the world was going to end and we had almost died in the bathroom when we thought a school shooter was going to kill us. But we hadn't really got that close and now she had disappeared to MIT, which was a very prestigious school and basically hadn't told any of us what was going on.

Everyone was surprised as Kitty muttered under her breath. "That can't be true."

"And I re-proposed to Emma. She re-accepted and we're getting married after Regionals."

"I've got good news too. I'm wait-listed at the Columbus College of Veterinary Medicine." Tina announced as we all cheered for her. "It's a fallback if I don't pursue acting."

I was excited for my friends because they each had some kind of idea about what they wanted to do when they graduated but I still wasn't sure. Finn had given me those pamphlets to read and they had been interesting but none of them had jumped out at me for my future. There was one school that I liked the look of, Stanford, but it was in California and I didn't even know what I would study if I applied to go there.

Unique placed a hand on her chest. "Bless her heart."

"Tina, that's not just good news. It's wonderful, and that's what this week is all about." Dad smiled, trying to drop hints about this week's lesson. "We're taking a lesson from one of the greatest musical artists of all time."
