After winning Sectionals we all thought that things would change at school and that our popularity would soar because the Glee Club were getting closer to a big win but we were wrong. It didn't take long for members to be slushied, thrown into dumpsters and teased about for being a part of the club.

Dad noticed how much it was getting to us and tried to help by thinking of a way that we could reinvent our image, and try to be completely different to what we were beforehand. But I wasn't sure, it seemed that no matter what we did, the whole school believed that we were losers and we couldn't change their minds.

"Hello. Hello?" He wrote on the whiteboard and asked us, so we all mumbled replies to him, not sure what the point was. "What do you guys say when you answer the phone?"

"What up?" Mercedes asked.

"Who dis be?" Artie added.

"No, she's dead, this is her son." Kurt muttered, fixing his hair.

"Okay. Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone liked to say Ahoy when he answered the phone. It was Edison who decided that hello was a more appropriate greeting. I am really proud of what you guys did at Sectionals but as most of you have realised by now, it hasn't made a bit of difference in your day-to-day at school."

Rachel nodded. "I have a slushie stained training bra to prove it."

"The fact is we're going to have to be better, even more spectacular at Regionals. It's time for some reinventions, some new New Directions. We need a new hello. Here's your assignment for the week, come up with a fresh number but it has to have Hello in the song title, alright?"

I didn't know that many songs with the word Hello in the title, so I knew that if I was going to sing anything then I needed to do some research first. I hadn't sung a solo in the Glee Club yet, I wasn't the only one but I felt pressured because of my Dad, they were probably waiting for me to jump in and sing something but I wasn't ready for that. I wanted to stick to background singing until I was comfortable enough to sing something in front of them all.
