Summer was different to our usual summers. Usually we'd travel to where my other Grandparents live and stay with them but since Mom and Dad finalised their divorce, I knew that things weren't going to be as normal as that. I saw Mom every so often but she isn't stable enough to have any custody over me so I spent the summer with my Dad.
It was different as well because I got to spend time with my new friends that I had made in Glee Club. Finn and Rachel had been dating all summer, and Tina and Mike started dating when they went to Asian Camp together. Staying at home, meant that I got closer to Kurt and Artie, which was interesting. But I missed my cheerleading friends, Santana had some kind of surgery so she was MIA and Brittany went on vacation. The only Cheerio left was Quinn and she spent the summer getting used to life without Beth, which was harder than she thought.
It didn't feel like anything had changed when we went back on the first day, I was still in my Cheerio's uniform and I was still in charge but I knew that my title would be taken soon because I couldn't break the promise I had made to Quinn. Just as we were getting our things from our lockers, we were ambushed by Jacob Ben Israel and his stupid blog.
"How has life changed since the birth of your bastard baby?" He asked, pushing the microphone in Quinn's face.
"Well, I'm happy to be back and I'm ready to start a fresh. And I'm a lot less hormonal, so there's not really any crying."
"Olivia, how do you respond to rumours that your Dad is a man-whore?"
I frowned. "My Dad isn't a man-whore, he's just finalised the divorce with my Mom and he's exploring his options. It's harmless."
Jacob then got distracted by Santana and so did the camera. "How was your summer?"
"My eyes are up here Jewfro, and it was uneventful." She sighed, filing her nails.
"People thought I went on vacation but actually I spent the summer lost in the sewers." Brittany announced as we all looked at her, worried that that was true and we hadn't heard from her because she had been lost in the sewers for six weeks.
