0004. | NADIA GROWS THREE
WITCH SIBLINGS

Nadia awoke to a ringing head and heavy limbs but other than that, she was fine - just a little tired. But what confused her was the room she was in. It looked like if a voodoo shop met a creepy shrine.

The room was decorated from the wooden ceiling with dried herbs and flowers, like sage and lavender, a few broken voodoo dolls hanging by their necks or feet. There were no windows other than at the front of the room either side of an old wooden door that led out to a massive green space that didn't look right compared to the darkness of the room she was in. But the darkness was nice, it felt warm and comforting. Mostly from the fact that Nadia was laying in a bed right by a grand black painted fire place with a glowing fire that burnt purple. There were four beds, one of which she was laying in, all with dark purple linens. Stacks of Tarot Cards laid by each bedside, and a dark purple candle that leaked wax onto the old wood stand. Dotted around the room on any and all surfaces were rocks and gemstones, all pulsating an aura that was soothing and energised.

But at the front of the room, guarding the entrance was a six feet tall stone statue of a women with three faces. Her hair was long and straight, falling to her ankles and she was covered in a flowing robe that concealed her body. But her head was on display, carrying a golden headband that stood out from the grey stone, spiking out long gold thorns. At her feet, she was encircled by burning candles that guarded an open book filled with pressed flowers and old written spells.

It was beautiful.

Nadia managed to sit herself up and watch the purple fire burning, turning the birch wood to white ash. It was hypnotising, like there was a face in the fire of a woman with short cut Afro hair and a sneering lip that reeked with ego and self-importance. But then it was gone, the purple flames dying out leaving only white ash left and a dark room.

"Oh, gods," Nadia jumped at the sound of a gasp behind her that belonged to a girl followed by another and a boy. The boy had a massive grin on his face whilst the girls wore matching horrified expression. Nadia smiled at them.

"Hi," she waved. "My name's Nadia, I just woke up here, and your fire died out by the way, also do you know where my friends are? A girl with a hello kitty top, a blond superman, and a short guy with car grease on his face?"

The boy waved back at her but the girls continued to stare at her frightfully. Nadia frowned slightly. Had something happened to her friends?

"That's the eternal fyre." The girl on the left said, her dark eyes wide. "It hasn't been extinguished in a thousand years!" Nadia gulped, looking down at the puddle of white ash. Whoops.
