0011. | NADIA FUTILELY TRIES TO SAVE EVERYONE
When Nadia woke up, she was falling.
She screamed, her body flipping desperately through the winds, plummeting through clouds. Her cheeks burned from the speed and her screams were lost. Far below her she saw the flailing bodies of Leo and Piper but no Jason.
Suddenly, a rock slammed into her.
That rock being Jason. He slowed their fall, gripping her close to his chest but she could tell he was straining. "It's okay. I've got you." He calmed her, his eyes searching the skies for Leo and Piper.
Nadia gulped, sobering herself from her scream fest. "No. You have to get Leo." She didn't waste a second, yanking away from Jason's grip, pinning her arms to her side to sail down to Piper's flailing body.
Nadia! Jason yelled at her as she grabbed Piper's hand.
Get Leo. She ordered, pulling Piper to her, and lighting her hand up in sparks. Piper clung her arms around her neck desperately as Nadia formed a red cloud beneath their feet that shielded their descent enough to see Jason collide with Leo as they slowed their plummet with Jason's wind powers.
"My dragon!" Leo yelled. "You gotta save Festus!" He screamed, fighting against Jason, trying to reach Festus who was hurtling towards a warehouse.
"I got it!" She yelled, holding Piper with one arm, using her free hand to shoot a net of red lightning at Festus. He was caught in it, his plummet catching in Nadia's cushion but she was straining. "ARGH!" she screamed in pain, but held on to her and Piper and Festus still, straining herself.
Jason looked across. Nadia was struggling and Piper was in danger. Nadia was screaming in agony, holding onto a sixty gajillion pound dragon as well as her and Piper. She was going to get them killed. "NADIA!" Jason shouted. "LET GO!"
"Nadia you've gotta let go!" Piper yelled the same.
"No!" Leo screamed, flailing after Festus.
"I can do this!" Nadia cried. Her body felt like it was being torn apart. She persisted. She had to do it. For Leo.
"No you can't!" Piper shouted, yanking Nadia's arm away from Festus's cushion. The net vanished. Festus smashed into a warehouse and Leo screamed, splitting through Nadia's skull.
Then they crashed into the warehouse below. The ceiling splintered beneath the girls but also split them apart. Fall on your side! Jason shouted, seeing her falling head first. Her neck was going to break if she landed like that. He came crashing through the warehouse roof with Leo. Nadia did as he said. And then it happened.
