DANGEROUS THIS WAY COMES

In the room they had found themselves in, there was an assortment of flaring forty inch TVs circled the room, all showing different screens of weather reports  and demigods fighting monsters and gladiators fighting in arenas like it was broadcasting live from different places over the world.

They all circled a man who sat at the centre of the room that looked slightly like a crown only comfier as he looked like he hadn't moved from it for a while. He wore a pinstriped suit that was the colour of daylight and was printed with clouds that were moving like a life action picture. He wore an ear piece in each ear like he was overloaded with information and his face showed it too.

The man's face was constantly changing direction. Smearing backwards and forwards like someone was pressing an iron on him. His actual face was indistinguishable and Nadia couldn't understand what he looked like with his rapidly changing expressions. It was really freaky. He kept twitching too which probably didn't help and Nadia clutched her and Leo's joined hands with her other hand, holding onto him completely for comfort.

"Ah, sir, Mr Aeolus," Mellie floated towards him. "these demigods-,"

"Hold it!" He shouted at her, one of his smushed mouths moving as he pointed at one of the circling screens. "Watch!" Nadia watched the screen that Aeolus pointed at and saw a tornado billowing across the screen as a Jeep drove straight into it. Aeolus shrieked with happiness and clapped excitedly. "The Disaster Channel. People do that on purpose!" He turned and looked at Jason with a mad grin that made Nadia scared to venture inside his head. "Isn't that amazing? Let's watch it again."

"Um, sir." Mellie called for his attention. "This is Jason, son of-,"

"Yes, yes, I remember." Aeolus waved her off carelessly. "You're back, how did it go?" Nadia looked up at Leo who shared the same confused look with her.

Jason frowned. "Sorry, I think you've mistaken me-," he was interrupted.

"No, no, Jason Grace, aren't you?" Nadia watched the man carefully. "It was - what - last year? You were on your way to fight a sea monster, I believe." Nadia imagined Jason must have had a purpose and not some secret rivalry with sea monsters.

"I - I don't remember." Jason stammered.

Aeolus laughed, both his eyes looking in different directions. "Must not have been a very good sea monster! No, I remember every hero who has ever come to me for aid. Odysseus - gods, he docked at my island for a month! At least you only stayed a few days. Now, watch this video. These ducks get sucked straight into-,"

Nadia followed his pointer finger, trying to see the screen with the ducks but Mellie interrupted. "Sir, two minutes to air!" She shouted, busying herself away at her tablet.
