0026. | WHEN DOUBT
CAME FOR SABOTAGE

Waking up to someone pouring an espresso down her throat wasn't exactly how Nadia expected to wake up. Unfortunately, she didn't have much of a choice. Jason was hanging over her with a small mug in his hands, trying to trickle it into her mouth but he backed away immediately when he saw she was awake. "Oh my gods, Nadia!" He stressed, putting the espresso mug down.

"What happened? Why was Jason being weird?" She groaned, sitting up to look at them all, still feeling slightly groggy from her dream.

Piper looked like she was trying hard not to laugh. "Nadia, you fell asleep." She explained. "We've been trying to wake you for like ten minutes."

She yawned. "Ypnos." Nadia realised but Leo didn't seem to understand.

"Yes, Di, that is what sleep is in Greek." He chuckled at her. Nadia frowned.

"No, that's not what I meant." She said. "The Stone worked. It's hypnokinesis - it's why I fell asleep to visit Athena. I think my reactions to the Stones rely on what they control." Nadia explained and Piper nodded in realisation.

"Well that's good. I thought you were just taking a nap." She grinned cheekily.

"You saw Athena?" Jason asked, having sat back down in his seat without the espresso mug anymore but Nadia quickly saw who had taken it. Coach Hedge was surrounded by seven of them, his pupils so dilated that Nadia couldn't see the colour of them.

"Yeah," Nadia brushed a braid over her shoulder. "She shared some words of wisdom." Nadia decided to be vague about it. She didn't want to tell them - least alone Jason - what Athena had said. She didn't want Jason to know that whatever attack plan he had, the goddess of battle strategy thought it would endanger them. That didn't seem like a good pep talk before they went to save Piper's dad from Enceladus.

"Anything helpful?" Piper asked nervously. Her aura was fidgeting as if she was on the verge of an anxiety overflow. Nadia did her best to cleanse it.

"I think so." Nadia smiled at her, hoping to cheer her up so Piper managed a small smile. They were all anxious, Nadia could tell. Even Coach Hedge though Nadia wasn't sure if it was from the caffeine or not. "The earth lady," she continued. "It's Gaea."

"We know." Leo said grimly but with a sarcastic smile. "Coach was just telling us all about her. She sounds like a lovely lady." He joked but none of them smiled. The mood wasn't right.

Piper's knee was bouncing up and down. "She's getting more powerful." She said. "Causing giants to rise. And if their king comes back - this guy, Porphyrion-,"
