TO TOUCH THEIR BOYS

When morning came Nadia told Piper and Leo that she had healed her arm. They didn't give much of a reaction. Piper kind of raised her eyebrow like I'm not surprised and Leo gave her a look like that's so cool. Jason was right about what he had said to Leo - they were all a little bit like freaks. But that was okay, because they were freaks together.

They broke camp and Leo helped Nadia stuff her bag with her blanket, not saying a word about him spending the night holding on to her. They started walking down the tunnel, Jason in front, Leo and Piper in the middle, and Nadia at the back. Though Nadia found it funny that they were walking in height order.

But the sooner they got to the end of the tunnel, the worse Nadia's gut felt. She didn't like the energies coming from the end of the tunnel. She couldn't explain it but they felt warning-ish and dangerous like, telling them to turn back and go home. "Guys, wait." She called out and they stopped. "I don't like this..."

"What's wrong with it?" Jason asked gently. He respected Nadia's instincts but they couldn't exactly turn back for no good reason.

She sighed, searching around for the right words. "I don't know, it's just... it's bad juju." She warned, looking ahead to where they were walking towards.

"Bad juju?" Jason raised an eyebrow.

"Yes!" Nadia looked frustrated. "Something's not right."

"We can't turn back now, Nadia." Piper said with an acknowledging look. Nadia could tell she felt the same but she was right - they didn't have a choice.

They continued walking until they came across large steel doors that looked like they led to an elevator. The steel was engraved with an italics M. Nadia squinted at it curiously. "M for Macy's?" Piper guessed. "I think they have one in downtown Chicago."

"Or Monocle Motors, still?" Leo pointed at the wall. "Look at this directory. It's messed up."

Parking, Kennels, Main Entrance: Sewer Level
Furnishings and café M: 1
Women's fashion and Magical appliances: 2
Men's wear and weaponry: 3
Cosmetics, Potions, Poisons, & Sundries: 4

"Kennels for what?" Piper frowned. "And what kind of department store has an entrance in the sewer?"

"Or sells poisons." Leo agreed. "Man, what does 'sundries' even mean? Is that like underwear?"
