AND REAPER OF MEN

Nadia didn't sleep after what Leo said. She couldn't. How could she sleep knowing she wasn't enough? That she wasn't enough for Leo to like, she was just his friend. They were just friends.

The words burned deeper than the Fire Stone. She wanted to never leave Piper's cuddle - she was so embarrassed! How desperate must she have been acting for Leo and Jason to be discussing her whilst she slept? She felt so foolish so she decided to act as her Tanty would advise - play hard to get, the boys love that, trust me, and always pretend you know more than they do; drives them crazy. In times of stress, remember Tanty's wise words.

Unfortunately it was kind of hard to look effortless and captivating when the first thing that happened was Piper punching her in the face. She was knocked off of the couch and Piper sat up with her hair looking like a hamster crawled in and died as Nadia laid on the the floor clutching her cheekbone. "Ow!" She yelled.

"Who punched you?" Piper asked worriedly, kneeling beside her as she rubbed her cheek.

"You did!" She pouted and Leo could feel himself staring whilst Piper laughed at the unfortunate incident. He hated seeing her hurt. He wanted to go over and hug her and kiss it all better but he had to resist even though it was hard. It was time for the hardest part of every crush he ever had - the time to move on.

"I'm - I'm so-so sorry!" Piper was awful at hiding her laugh but Nadia couldn't be mad at her. She glanced up as she rubbed her cheek to see Leo watching her. She clenched her jaw, refusing to show the sadness she felt when looking at him. She flipped her curls over her shoulder instead and focussed on what had woken Piper up so suddenly that she struck out.

It was Coach Hedge, successfully freed from his prison and waving his cudgel about dangerously. You okay? Jason asked her but she ignored him too. She felt so embarrassed she couldn't bare to look at either of the boys.

"Coach is awake." Leo said but a little too late. Nadia ducked as Coach Hedge came swinging round with his bat, smacking into the couches and smashing the tea sets.

"Coach!" Jason yelled to grab his attention.

Coach Hedge looked exactly the same way they had left him, down to the insanity in his eyes of holding back from killing someone. Nadia was most scared he was going to turn around and ask her to give him twenty press-ups. Running she could do, press-ups or anything that required actual strength? No way.
