0020. | SHE WAS ART MADE
TO BE ADMIRED BY HIMLeo hated this so much. He hated sitting around and waiting for Nadia to turn back to normal. But then again, a part of him didn't want her to change back. Jason had told him about what Lit did and he was furious but he knew at least when she was gold, she wouldn't feel the pain. So he wanted her to stay like that for as long as possible.
When he threw himself in front of her back at Midas's mansion, it wasn't one of those moments where it was 'instinct' to save her and he didn't think about it - because he did. He had thought about it a lot in his split-second decision and he knew he was making the right decision to save her first. That was all that mattered - her safety.
Leo knew he wasn't sounding like a guy trying to move on but he had long given up with that idea. He liked Nadia, he didn't care that she didn't like him back because that didn't matter. People like Nadia were art. Beautiful and perfect, from the fall of her curls to the pout of her lips, she was perfect; she was art. And Leo was more than happy to be an admirer. He wanted to admire her forever.
There was something so captivating about her that made him give up trying to lose his feelings. The way her skin glittered like bronze in the sunlight, or how her eyes were so unique and stunning that a moment in which he was able to steal eye contact, there was pure bliss. He loved that even though she was the sweetest girl ever to exist she was still a total badass and could destroy an evil sorceress and make fire dragons. He was even beginning to appreciate her skill of telepathy - even that was cool, he just couldn't fully adore it like everything else about her because he knew it made him vulnerable to her.
Leo was a sad person but he hid it well. He had done it his whole life but when he was around Nadia, he didn't have to try anymore. She made him forget about the sadness and he just felt happy so he was done with giving her a tough time for not reciprocating his feelings. He was ready to adore her completely, irrevocably, wholeheartedly and without hope for reciprocation. She deserved to be adored.
Jason coughed lightly from the smoke of the fire. Leo had started one for him when he woke up from his dousing from the rain in the cave they found. Jason had said they needed to cauterise Nadia's stab wound when she wasn't gold so he had taken Piper's Helen of Troy knife and a piece of metal Leo summoned from his tool belt and was heating them over the fire until just before they went cherry red. Leo had to distract her when she woke up because Jason said it didn't hurt as much if it was a surprise - Leo didn't have a clue how he knew that but he didn't want to ask. It didn't sound like a fun story.
Speaking of the angel herself, Nadia was starting to wake up. Jason sent him a nod. Leo rushed over to her side, seeing her shuddering from the cold. Coach Hedge had said the girls had hypothermia after being dunked in the river a few times.
