"I'm completely in love
with you and you haven't
even realised but I'm totally
fine with the crippling
knowledge that you don't like
me back. That's fine, I'm fine.
Totally fine."

0003. | SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES
The wind whistled through Nadia's ears as they rode on Arion's back, clinging to Hazel's waist in an attempt to stay straddled atop the stallion. Nadia was much liked by wild animals and Arion seemed to like her but his speed was unyielding in the face of fear. And Nadia was most certainly fearful.
Her mother made her scared, especially after her presence in her mind. Nadia was sick of her family being in her head. Her mother, her great grandmother Gaea, her great, great grandfather Chaos, she was sick of it. Their control on her made her hate her own telepathy. She was becoming fearful that maybe Jason felt the same with her presence in his mind and she made a note to try and stop doing that. She didn't want anyone to feel as vulnerable as she did with Titans in her head.
Hazel felt Nadia's hammering heart against her back and moved her hold on Arion to one hand, placing the other on Nadia's knee by her thigh. Nadia held her tighter.
"Where are we meant to be going?" Hazel called to her, her voice wavering over the wind.
"I don't know." She answered unhelpfully. "The voice only said to follow the stallion. Arion must know." Arion whinnied with agreement. Nadia hoped that meant she was right and the horse did know where to take them, wherever that was...
"The voice?" Hazel queried, sounding worried.
Nadia gulped. "It's nothing."
Hazel glanced over her shoulder. "It doesn't sound like noth—,"
"I promise." Nadia insisted. "It's nothing." Hazel tried to pry further but Nadia stopped her for the sake of what she saw through the growing gloom of fog around them. "Do you see that...?"
Hazel turned back to see the sight. "Oh my gods..."
Ahead of them was a quaking vertical chasm of darkness, swirling storm clouds the colour of coal and a tornado growing like the essence of Nyx, stars from Asteria floating within like crackling supernovae. Emblazoned white smoke unfurled from the crevice, pure, unchallenged magic that had not yet been touched by red magic or purple magic or any other impurity. Nadia felt a shiver run down her spine for the influx of energy that encompassed her.
