"I'm completely in love
with you and you haven't
even realised but I'm totally
fine with the crippling
knowledge that you don't like
me back. That's fine, I'm fine.
Totally fine."

0028. | NOT THE SWEET SIXTEEN SHE WANTED
Leo was quick making the bullhorn, or at least, whatever contraption it was that he did make. Nadia couldn't really tell, all she knew was that it would definitely work, Leo's designs always did.
She stood by Jason's side patiently as Leo and Piper secured them a ride, letting Jason look after mister McLean because although Nadia was good at understanding people, she figured that her glowing red hands would freak the poor man out more than he needed. Instead, Nadia kept her distance, trying to calm down her magic but it kept spitting out of her palms like lightning trying to be freed.
Only as she stared across the clearing did she notice why her magic was reacting in such a way. Sticking out from the pile of monster ash that had been left after Enceladus's demise was a glowing red rock.
She was reticent to take it. She was still freaked out by her mother's visit and Athena's words. They had scared her, and Nadia wasn't sure if she wanted to meet another goddess for a while. But still, Athena's words hung in her mind. The Stones presented themselves to her when she needed them, if whatever was to come needed the help of that stone... then she had to take it.
Hesitantly, Nadia ripped the edge of her torn sleeve off from where the gegenee had scrapped at her arm and used it to pick up the crystal. Jason watched her carefully but he didn't have a chance to ask about it because the helicopter had landed.
Leo and Jason helped get Piper's dad into the vehicle. Again, Nadia stayed out of the way, climbing in after them. They managed to all get safely into the helicopter but Nadia was still worried for Mr. McLean. He didn't look well, his eyes that she had remembered being crinkled with smiles were now wide and shell shocked. Nadia could see Piper's heart breaking.
"It'll be okay, dad," Piper whispered to him. "These people are my friends. We're going to help you. You're safe now."
He blinked harshly, staring out the window to the helicopter rotors. "Blades... they had a machine with so many blades. They had six arms."
The pilot turned around and stared at him weirdly. "What's wrong with him?"
"Smoke inhalation." Jason offered. "Or heat exhaustion."
"We should get him to a hospital," she responded but Piper cut her off.
"It's okay," she said. "the airport is good." Her charmspeak was effortless.
