"I'm completely in love
with you and you haven't
even realised but I'm totally
fine with the crippling
knowledge that you don't like
me back. That's fine, I'm fine.
Totally fine."

0001. | NADIA MEETS HER DOPPELGÄNGER
Nadia was probably the only one on the Argo not absolutely wracking with nerves. In fact, she was quite the opposite. Where Annabeth was stressed out that the Romans might assume them to be a threat, especially in their flying warship, Nadia was just excited to make new friends.
Jason had told her all about Dakota and Gwen and Reyna and she couldn't wait to meet them all. She was so dead set on being their friends even though Jason had warned her that Reyna wasn't a very warm person to strangers, Nadia was still hopeful. Hell, she had made Annabeth Chase and Nico di Angelo like her - she was a master at making friends.
Something that Leo, her boyfriend (she was still so excited to call him that), wasn't so well versed with. Nadia and Leo had been dating for six months and she still got shy like a school girl when she saw him. He just had that effect on her. All he had to do was smile at her with that crooked grin or call her one of his Spanish nicknames and Nadia would melt into a blushing puddle.
Jason said the two were sickening but she knew he said it with love. He and Leo played a weird game that whenever Leo tried to kiss her or show affection, Jason would throw something at him. Leo did the same when Jason tried things with Piper. Nadia didn't really understand it, but the boys seemed to find it funny so she didn't question it that much.
Although they weren't laughing much then. Everyone was nervous, and Leo was dealing with it by running around frantically with his wii remote that he used to power the Argo II. Leo had a lot of weird contraptions he had built for the control of the ship, most of which Nadia had absolutely no clue how to control but Leo swore he'd teach her. And she was really looking forward to it. Most of Leo's mechanics lessons turned into kissing lessons and Nadia was always top of those classes.
Piper was pacing up and down the ship, reciting her practiced lines for the Romans and Annabeth was fiddling anxiously with her dagger. Nadia wanted to ask her if she was okay but she knew it wasn't the right time. Annabeth liked to stay in her own head, if she wanted support, she'd ask for it. Which had happened on two separate occasions over the six months that the two girls had know each other. One of which was regarding how much she missed Percy Jackson, her boyfriend, and the second was when she looked at a ballpoint pen and just burst into tears. Nadia wasn't sure what that last one was about, but she chose not to question it and just comforted Athena's daughter.
Jason, the remaining Argonaut, was at the helm of the ship wearing a bedsheet that he swore was a toga but she still found it funny. He looked incredibly nervous. Nadia joined him, taking his hand so it wasn't gripping his sword hilt so tightly that his knuckles turned white.
