ON FIRE (ACCIDENTALLY)

           There weren't words to describe how Leo felt about Nadia. He hated how giddy he got at the thought of her. Like then, as he walked through the woods, remembering his catastrophic childhood, her face just kept popping into his mind. It wasn't all that distracting apart from the butterflies that wouldn't stop raging in his stomach every single time! Leo always thought butterflies was a girl thing in a crush, and he stuck by that because in all of his infatuations throughout his life (and he had had a lot!) he had never got butterflies... until Nadia. But then again, he had never had a crush last longer than a week until Nadia.

          At first it was just a hey! This girl is really pretty! Then leading to a I'm gonna build stuff to impress her! And then it escalated all in one day to Holy smokes! She's a witch! But unlike how others might've reacted to the situation, Leo loved it. He thought it was awesome that Nadia could fly and shoot balls of red lightning and it was even cooler when she saved his life. Although to others, they might've freaked out to the day that Leo had had, but to him, it only made Leo feel at home.

          Since Leo was a kid, he had never felt at home. From the inch deep hand burns when he was five, to setting the mechanic shop on fire. He was always different, no else was like him and that was why he kept moving. To keep ahead of the sadness, that loneliness he just couldn't seem to kick.

           But then today happened. And Leo climbed on the back of a satyr, and his life was saved by his crush who could use magic, and his best friend can fly, and he met a whole cabin full of new family, and he got given this life-changing prophecy to fulfil! Given his track record, this was probably the best day of Leo's life.

          Even standing there in the woods alone with wild animals watching him from the trees and bushes, Leo still felt content with the day. Well, at least, that was until a stream of red lightning came flying at him and flooded Leo in purple fire!

          "Argh!" Leo shouted.

          "Leo?" It was Nadia, standing there with red lightning crackling around her fingertips and lilac flames sparking around her palms, gaping at him with her gorgeous brown and blue eyes popping out of her head. "Oh, my gods, you scared the hell out of me!"

           Leo patted himself down from the fire, letting them stand in the light of the moon rather than his burning body. He scratched the back of his neck nervously. "Hey, novia." Nadia's mouth gaped open and shut, staring up and down his body (which normally would've made Leo blush like crazy) but instead he fidgeted under her stare.
