0008. | STARBUCKS MEETS EVIL STORM SPIRITS
Nadia thought she might've been cold so high within the air, but it was surprisingly warm when sitting on Festus. The heat that worked within him was enclosing them in a hot bubble that stopped the cold from seeping into them, thanks the gods. Also Leo was a sitting furnace anyway so when squished between him and Piper, Nadia didn't feel any cold whatsoever.
"Cool, huh?" Leo called back to them, his curls whipping back from the wind and only then did Nadia remember her long curls that must have been suffocating Piper. She pulled her bag over her shoulder, searching around when she found a whole jar of hairbands (Hana was so cool!). She used one quickly to tie her hair in a bun and she heard Piper gasping air.
"What if we get spotted?" She queried, ever the worrier.
Nadia shrugged. "Don't worry about it," she assured. "I'm manipulating the Mist. We look like a small plane to anyone human." Jason nodded from the back, like he too was going to explain how the Mist worked though she wasn't sure how he knew and didn't want to invade his privacy by searching around his mind.
"We're making good time." Jason announced, doing something that was making Piper anxious but Nadia couldn't see what so she just brought her arm behind and held Piper's hand to send her soothing pulses. "Probably get there by tonight."
"Where are we going?" Nadia asked him, assuming that Piper didn't want to speak.
"To find the god of the North Wind." He explained. "And chase some storm spirits."
"Shut up, me!" Leo chastised suddenly making Nadia jump. She had been in a day dream about what it would be like to sleep in a cloud. Obviously she knew according to science that clouds weren't actually solid and she would fall right through, but now she was introduced to a whole new world of magic so she figured there was probably a cloud god out there that would let her sleep on one if she asked nicely, or maybe Jason would manipulate the winds to keep her up there.
"What?" Piper frowned, being the only one listening to Leo talking to himself.
"Nothing." He said quickly. "Long night. I think I'm hallucinating. It's cool." Nadia gulped. That didn't sound cool. "Just joking." He recovered. "So what's the plan, bro? You said something about catching wind, or breaking wind, or something?"
Jason laid out the plan. They find a god called Boreas and get information from him- "His name is Boreas?" Leo interrupted her train of thought. "What is he? The God of Boring?"
