0010. | NADIA BLOOMS WHEN THE LILAC ROSE WILTS
By the time Piper and Jason returned with the (not Leo's type) girl, Nadia was sitting between Leo's legs with her back against his chest for warmth, teaching her Tarot cards to Cal while Leo sat playing with the fallen strands of curls from her bun. The returning couple gave her a secretive, knowing smirk as if she was supposed to know what they were insinuating.
Figuring it was nearly time for them to leave, Nadia began packing up her Tarot cards to Cal'a disappointment. She patted Festus's head that was now transformed back into that of a dragon that laid by her and Leo's sides. He had been snorting flames to keep himself warm because Leo wasn't hugging him like he was Nadia.
Jason and Piper reached the bottom step with the girl, when she turned to Piper. "You have fooled my father, girl. But you have not fooled me. We are not done. And you, Jason Grace, I will see you as a statue in the throne room soon enough."
Nadia already knew she disliked the girl and that was surely a feat - she liked everyone. Everything okay? She asked Jason who's eyes flickered to her. He sent her a single nod, for an answer, but also for an acknowledgment that if they weren't okay, then Nadia and Leo would have their back. "Boreas is right." Jason said, pretending as if he hadn't spoken to Nadia. She liked him for that. Jason was good at keeping secrets. "You're a spoiled kid. See you around, ice princess."
The ice princess glared, turning on her toes and bursting into a blizzard that whizzed up the stairs as if she were never there, leaving a trail of snow on the frozen staircase. "Be careful." Nadia jumped at Zethes' voice. She hadn't even noticed he was there in the princess's scary presence. "She never forgets an insult." Cal grunted in agreement.
"She's the goddess of snow." Jason teased. "What's she going to do, throw snowballs at us?" Whoevenwasshe? Jason glanced over. Khione. She's bad news, Nads. Nadia nodded.
"What'd you do to make her mad?" Leo asked, his finger wrapped in Nadia's dark brown curl like he hadn't even noticed he was doing it.
"We'll explain later." Piper promised.
"Yeah." Jason agreed. "We'll explain later."
Nadia stood up with a hand from Leo, and was suddenly approached by Zethes. He wore a cologne that smelled like a 70s taxi driver. "Be careful, pretty girl." He said. "The winds between here and Chicago are ill tempered. Many other evil things are stirring. I am sorry you will not be staying. Still, if you would like me to romance you-,"
