Theo stood by the kitchen nervously as Ezra started preparing some dinner. He couldn't tell what was bothering him about this scene. Was it the Mexican dinner Ezra was planning on making? Was it the lack of help he Is offering? Theo just couldn't put his hands on it. What was missing?
Like a light in his head, Theo pouted where he stood, trying hard not to cry. Finally he landed on what it was that is driving him crazy and he hated it.
"Whats the matter, Theo?" Ezra asked, turned away from the opened fridge to stare at Theo.
Theo shook his head, trying to hard not to cry of this stupidness. "N-nothing."
Ezra gave Theo the look of 'I know you're lying' and that was the cherry on top. Theo let out a small sob, walking over to the barstool and sat down shamefully.
"Its just... I'm craving lasagna from Sal's downtown." He mumbled. "And... I don't know why not having it is making me want to cry." Theo grumbled, unaware of the tears that started to flow.
Ezra couldn't help but chuckle, closing the fridge he walked around the island and stood right in front of Theo. He reached out and grabbed a hold of Theo's cheeks, wiping his face. "We can go get Sal's if you want. We can bring it back here and watch a movie. How about that?"
Theo sniffled. "B-but you are already making d-dinner and I dont... why am I crying over lasagna?" He brought his hands up, rubbing the balls of his palm to his eyes.
Ezra couldn't help but chuckle. "Honey, it's fine. We can get you lasagna. We can do Mexican tomorrow." Ezra grabbed Theo's hands and smiled softly. "Do you want to go? Or should I ask Austin if he will grab it while we hang out?"
Theo contemplated this, staring at the door as he wiped his remaining tears. He chuckled. "I'd rather let Austin do it."
Ezra nodded. "Go get dressed into something more comfortable, I'll call Austin."
Theo nodded, getting up from the chair and walking around Ezra, wiping his tears as he made his way up to the bedroom.
He stopped at the dresser and pulled out some sweatpants and one of Ezra's hoodies and got dressed. Once done, he grabbed some socks and made his way back downstairs, seeing Ezra lighting a few candles.
Theo couldn't help the smile that spread across his face at the sight of the couch covered in blankets and pillows. A big black sheet was over the sliding back door, preventing the late afternoon light to peer through. Besides the candles and TV, no more lights were on.
"Wow, so romantic," Theo commented.
Ezra placed the lighter down, wiping his palms on his jeans before walking over to Theo, and grabbing his hand.
"Well it's been crazy these past few weeks so this night is just us. Let's go sit down. Dinner will be here in about an hour so we can get half a movie in by then." He said, guiding Theo to the couch. Once sat, Ezra placed the pillows strategically around them before wrapping a blanket around both their laps.
Theo brought his feet up and close to his chest, leaning sideways into Ezra's shoulder and pecks. Once positioned in a comfortable spot, he looked over at Ezra.
"What are we watching?" He asked.
Ezra shrugged. "What do you want to watch?"
Theo's smile gree devilishly and Ezra seemed to catch it, squinting warily. "Instead of a movie, can we watch a t.v show? One I know you've never watched?"
Ezra shrugged. "This night is about us. I'm happy watching whatever you want to."
"Vampire Diaries?" Theo questioned, raising his head to see the shocked face of Ezra.
