When Ginny woke up from her peaceful sleep, she felt drowsy. Recently, Ginny had been getting up later and later- her comfy bed not helping her wake up.
This morning, she realised she may have slept in too late, as she glanced at her bedside clock, which read 9. Class started now, and she wasn't even dressed.
Huffing, she got up and checked to see if any of her room mates were late like her, however all the beds were empty. Great. She thought. Now she's be late for professor Snape. She dragged her tired feet to the door and peeped out to see if anyone was in the common room.
No one. Fantastic.
As she turned back to her room, she heard a small creek of a door. She immediately spun round to see who it was. She followed the noise to one of the boys dorm doors and saw a head of bleach blonde hair poke out.
It was all tousled, messed about, each strand pointing in the opposite direction. As her face traveled down, she noticed her had a tooth brush handing out of his mouth and some foam was beginning to spill from his thin lips. He had defined cheekbones and two beautiful silver-blue eyes.
As they met hers, she realised she was looking at Draco Malfoy. It was weird looking at him in such a messy state, but she found she liked his appearance more like this.
He smiled when he saw her.
"Ginny. You've over slept as-well?" He asked, as more minty bubbles oozed out his mouth.
"Looks like ill be in detention for being late." She moaned, knowing Snape would not let her get away with missing half of his lesson.
"Nonsense, you're in Slytherin now, my house baby! Anyway, we are skipping." He replied, turning to retreat to his room.
"I'm not going to skive." Ginny yawned, "As much as I don't want to get into trouble-"
"You won't get into trouble, don't worry. We'll just say we were sick." He shut her up, smirking. "I bet you have never stepped a toe out of line, have you?" He laughed at her innocence.
"Shut up. Of course I skipped a few times and broke some school rules, but-"
"Then it's fine. Listen, babe, chill and live a little." With that he smirked and spun on his heel and entered his room.
"You better stop cutting me off or I swear-"
And the noise of his door closing drowned her out.
"Bloody Malfoy!" She yelled at his closed door and entered hers to get changed.
After shutting her door, Ginny slid down it and sighed. She knew her Weasley temper surfaced and his Malfoy arrogance kicked in- these few days Ginny completely forgot how they used to despise each other, it felt weird arguing with him. Was it even an argument? No. Draco just cut her off and she couldn't control herself- Ginny hated being cut off or belittled and Ginny felt like it slightly.
She picked herself up off the floor and got changed. She slid on some muggle skinny ripped pale blue jeans and a baby blue top. The outfit was modest enough to show her hourglass figure, but still kept it well off the slutty side. She slid on her sneakers and tied her hair up in a loose bun. She sprayed a squirt of perfume and headed out, excited to get away from school, but nervous to suffer the consequences.
Her newfound relationship with Draco was still rocky- sometimes he would annoy her so bad, she wanted to punch his perfect face. However, from time to time, she would find herself looking into his silver orbs and getting lost. Whenever he would put his arm around her or lean closer to her, she would find herself in a dream fantasy, where they were a lot closer. Even when he would read or work in class, she would sneak peeks his way.
Every time she found herself in that position she would reject it, thinking:
A Weasley and a Malfoy? Never.
She left her dorm and hopped down the stairs, excited for the day ahead. As she reached the last step, she saw Draco stand from his seat.
He was wearing ripped dark blue jeans and a muggle hoodie. His hair was lightly combed and his refreshed face shon.
"Sorry for cutting you off, but i knew you had to get out of the castle and... well I just wanted to get my way and shut you up." He confessed, scratching the back of his neck, nervously.
She watched a cute blush rise from his bale cheeks and his lips curve into a wonky smile. She immediately smiled and forgot about how annoyed she was.
"Don't worry about it. It's been a while since I left and schools... well school." She smiled, as they began to walk out of the dorm.
He returned the smile and led her out. "You look nice, but you may get cold." He warned her, looking over her outfit.
Draco knee her outfit wasn't just nice it was beautiful. Better yet she looked beautiful in it. Over the past weeks, his love for Ginny just continued to grow and each day he found himself wanting her to smile, laugh. He wished he could see him as he did her, but he knew their family's wouldn't stand for it. It was like it was destined for them not to be together. And he hated it.
"Oh no, a Weasley never gets cold see." She smiled brightly, satisfied to prove him wrong.
"Sure, by the end of today you would have turned to an icicle." He retorted as they walked down the empty halls.
A meow brought them out of their conversation and realised a cat was around the corner- probably Filch's, they thought.
They quickly hid in a empty brooms cabinet and waited for the cat to pass.
The right proximity of each other caused their cheeks to heat up. After the cat walked on and was out of earshot, they pair stuck their heads out of the door to check the coast was clear. After confirming it, they hopped out and giggled quietly, as they rushed off to the safe secret exit from Hogwarts.
"Come with me." Said Draco, half his body out the small secret door, the other reaching his hand out for Ginny.
She eyed his hand, cautiously. On one hand, he was the son of a suspected death eater and a Malfoy. What if it was a trap? A sick joke?
"Don't you trust me?" He asked, a cute wonky smile on his face.
She smiled brightly, all negative thoughts vanishing from her head. All she could think of to weigh her decision was how nice, kind and charming he had been since she got to know him over the weeks as she took his hand and followed him out the door
