At the end of dinner and all the houses had been excused, Ginny couldn't get the irritation over Draco out of her head. Why had be ignored her so much? What happened over the holidays Ginny didn't know?

As she walked with her group of Griffindor friends to the common room, Ginny managed to slip out of their sight without them knowing, and headed off in search of Draco. She knew he wouldn't have scuttled back off to the dungeons, for Draco was in no mood to chat, and the Slytherin common room wouldn't provide the solitude he needed.

He needed to be alone, so what place in Hogwarts provided enough solitary for someone to go to at this time of night?

There were many places for students to go to when they needed a bit of quiet- Ginny having gone to many over her time at the school, but where would Draco go?

Any rooftop would be the best place, but to get there required effort. Getting a broom, then taking it outside, then kicking off, then flying around, then finding out which rooftop to sit on. Then you'd have to worry about the weather and if it'd suddenly rain or become windy.

Any empty classroom would be good, but he'd then risk the chance of running into a professor past hours, getting into trouble and loosing house points.

Maybe he'd go to the library?

The list of places in the huge school was endless, so Ginny decided to try where she'd go; the room of requirements.

Deciding her mind, Ginny headed that way, making sure to hide from any passing students or professors. The light along the hallways was now dim, and as Ginny walked deeper into the castle, the natural light became less and less. Soon she had to use her wand to provide enough light so she could see where she was going.

Soon she reached the R.O.R, and inspected it, trying to see if he would be in there. After a while of searching, Ginny decided he wasn't there, and left the room.
Turning a corner to look else where, Ginny knocked into a chest, and fell to the floor. Her wand lost as she tried to stand.

"Watch it." She heard a familiar voice sneer, as the familiar expensive cologne of sandalwood and cedar breached her nose.

"Draco." She spoke.

"Ginny?" He replied, fear dripping from his voice.

"Why have you been avoiding me?" She demanded.

"Ginny, listen to me. You need to leave, now." He said, persistently.

"What? Why? Draco what's going on?"

"No time to explain, just promise me you'll go to the Griffindor common room and not leave till morning-"

"What? Draco, what's going on?"

"There's no time. They are on their way and you need to leave!" He said, desperately, pleading her to leave.

"What? Who's coming?" She asked, confused.

"Ginny, go! They will kill you!" He pleaded.

"What? Who? Draco, talk to me!" She cried, grabbing his chest and trying to get him to answer by shaking him.

"Ginny!" He exclaimed, grabbing her shoulders, steadying her as she was silenced, "Listen to me, and promise you do as I say. Run back to your common room, and make sure no one leaves till McGonagall gets you. Do you understand?" He asked, terrified written all over his face.

"What-"

"Promise me!" He cried, as Ginny froze.

"Okay." She whispered, as Draco sighed in relief.

"Thank you." He gasped, hugging her and kissing her head.

As he let go of her arms, he began to walk off, heading towards the R.O.R. Turning around to Ginny one last time, he called,

"Go Ginny!"

Not knowing what to do, her body seemed to move all on its own, running in the opposite direction Draco was.

Who was he talking about?

She asked herself, as she began running as fast as she could down the halls. Her plain robes flowing wildly behind her as she stormed through the halls.

Why did she need to leave?

She questioned, running past the portraits, as they groaned, irritated to have their sleep disturbed.

Was he in danger?

Stopping as she reached the changing stairs, leading up to the Griffindor Common Room, Ginny crosses her brows as she tried to understand what was going on.

Draco said they would kill her- does that mean they could kill him too? Whatever was going on was not good, and definitely dangerous.

Looking back to the stairs one last time, Ginny closed her eyes and sighed.

She couldn't go to sleep knowing Draco would be in some sort of danger, so clamping her hands shut, turned around and ran back the way she came, desperate to know what was going on and help Draco.

She kept her feet light, and made sure she stayed in the shadows, curious to know who were coming. Why did Draco need her to leave? Maybe the reason he was acting so weird was because of what was happening right now.

Just as she was about to turn the corner, she heard the scuttling shoe tip taps growing louder as she peaked out from around the corner. Black cloaked figures took up the whole of the walk way, as a high pitched laugh echoed down the halls.

Gasping, Ginny stuck her back on the wall out of view, and prayed they wouldn't turn down her hall.

"Okay, Dracie, you're about to do such an honour." Ginny made out, as the scurry if figures moved passed her, and down the hall- not realising Ginny's presence.

Checking the coast was clear, Ginny tip toed after them, her heart pounding out from her chest.

She followed the group all the way to the astronomy tower, and had to stop at the bottom of the stairs, looking at a wonky angle towards the scene. Now the light was clearer, Ginny made out the faces of Bellatrix Lestrange, Greyback, and two other death eaters Ginny didn't know the names of. In front of them, Draco stood, looking scared and anxious. He had his wand raised.

"Hello, Draco." Ginny heard the voice of Dumbledore speak.

"Headmaster." Draco replied, his voice shaky.

Ginny didn't get the rest of the conversation, before a giant black cloaked man swept across the room, firing an green spell towards Dumbledore. Ginny gasped as she watched a body disappear.

A second later, the sheik of Bellatrix Lestrange roared a cackle, as she raised her arm to the air.

Ginny was about to run up to the remaining death eaters, but as she reached the first step, she was knocked down.

"Ginny?" Whispered the voice of Draco, jumping up and dragging her with her, as he ran back into the school.

"Draco? What happened? Why is there death eaters in the school?" She asked, terrified, as she tried to keep up with him.

"I told you to go back to your common room. You didn't even have a wand- why were you there? And please tell me you were not going to attack them wand-less." He asked, after they ran down ten different hallways.

"Draco. What's going on?"
