As Draco walked towards the classroom he would meet Seamus, and dreaded the realisation that he'd have to torture someone- again. When would Potter come back to Hogwarts and put things back to normal??
Along the hallway, he bumped into Seamus.
"Mate- I don't like this idea." Seamus said, worried, as they walked together.
"Hey- it'll work. You just have to make it look convincing." Draco reassured, as they rounded the corner, the classroom in sight.
"How did you even get the idea in your head? It's a muggle thing."
"We'll, Blaise is your boyfriend, and my best friend. Also Ginny is..." he paused, remembering his relationship with Ginny was still a secret, "was my girlfriend. You're half muggle, and Ginny is a Weasley. It was kind of hard to avoid." He said, a crooked smile forming in his face.
"I suppose. If it doesn't work, both of us are in deep shit." Seamus replied, as they reached the door.
Nodding, Draco walked in.
"Come on Finniagan, I don't have all day." He huffed, as Seamus dragged his feet into the room.
"Yes your highness." He said in a sarcastic tone.
"Ah, Draco... and Mr Finniagan. You must know Draco shall be taking your detention. My sister and I shall be taking other detentions while Draco covers yours. I hope this shall not be a regular meeting." Amycus spoke, "okay Draco, you can begin."
After nodding, Draco pulled out a stick, aiming it at the griffindor, and yelled crucio.
Seamus immediately fell to the floor and began to scream in pain- bringing a smile to the Carrows face.
"Well done my boy. When I tell your father of your actions at this school- he shall be most pleased."
After watching the griffindor squirm around the floor for a few minutes, the teacher left, after letting Draco know he'd be back soon. As the door closed, and the footsteps began to disappear, Seamus stopped moving and sat up, looking through the murky glass door.
"Is he gone?" He asked.
"I think so." Replied Draco, as Seamus cried a small scream/ groan.
"Just to be sure." He smiled, as he stood up. "This trick is actually pretty funny. Maybe you could get some more of the other students to try this."
"Maybe." Agreed Draco, "but I'm not sure how long we could keep this up. It could be months till Potter turns up and saves the day."
A second later, Amycus walked in.
"How come you've stopped the curse?" He asked, surprised. "Give me that." He snapped, "I expected more from you Malfoy, the Dark Lord shall not be impressed."
Snatching the wooden stick from Draco's hand, though the boy tried to stop him, and pointed it at the other student, muttering crucio.
Seamus fell to the ground and began screaming. Amycus raised a confused brow and looked over Draco's 'wand'.
"This feels different from other wands I held. What type did you say it was?" He asked, examining the wand. Seamus lay on the ground, looking questionably at the exchange.
"Err- birch? I think." Draco lied, making Amycus scoff.
"Humorous Young Malfoy, but don't joke. Everyone knows birch is for mudbloods and the poor." Tapping the stick on one of the tables, his brow creased in a frown. "No magic seems to bind its essence." He observed, making Draco and Seamus look at each other, fearfully.
Pointing the wand at the table he pronounced a spell, and his frown grew as nothing happened. Turning his attention to Draco, he observed the boys guilty face.
"What is this!?" He demanded, and growled as he received no answer.
Snapping the wand he threw it across the classroom.
"That was no wand- it was a plain old twig from a tree! You tried to deceive me?!" He barked, as Seamus jumped from the floor- not having to act as if he was exhausted from pain- and edged closer to Draco, who was trying to find an exit.
"You are no Deatheater- or Slytherin student-" but before he could finish his scentence and punish them, a orange blast hit his chest, sending him to the other side of the room.
"Are you guys okay?" Asked Ginny, running into the room.
"Gin- what are you-" Draco began, but Ginny shook her head, stopping him.
"We need to move- now. The war is going to begin." She said, dragging the boys out of the classroom and began sprinting down the hall.
"How do you know? Is Harry back?" Asked Seamus, trying to keep up with the fast pace.
"Asteria's stars told me- now come on!" She cried, ushering them to hurry along.
"Asteria? Who is that? Ginny!" Cried Seamus, as they reached the portrait hole, leading to the common room.
"No time to explain- Harry's going to come soon, and we need to get everyone ready." She said, pushing the portrait open, and running in.
"What?" Questioned Draco, and Seamus in unison.
Frustrated, Ginny ignored them and ran around the common room in search of Neville. Bumping into him, she told him to go to Amberforth immediately, and, without question, he complied, rushing to the portrait.
Turning to Dean, she told him to tell everyone on the intercom (the students weather report station) that Harry was coming. Listening to her, he also left.
Now, looking to Draco, she gave him a nod, before running off.
Knowing he'd have to tell Pansy, Theo and Blaise, Draco left charge to Seamus, as he left to the dungeons.
"Okay guys- we need everyone ready- get Luna and Cho- everyone in the DA, and make sure they are here. Voldemort is coming. Tonight. And we are going to be ready for him."
