Turns out avoiding the Carrows wasn't as hard as Ginny expected. With so many friends she had, Ginny was able to skip all of Amycus' classes and go to the great hall, undetected, for the last week. Borrowing other houses robes and sitting with different people, the Carrows had no clue where she was. Of course, McGonagall and Hagrid got the gist of what was going on- but luckily told none of the teachers.
Blaise and Draco helped her catch up on Defence against the dark arts- since Ginny didn't attend Amycus' lesson- and Ginny learnt more in one session than an entire week of his lessons.
Ginny, Neville and Luna had begun recruiting more students to join the DA, and encouraged more students to rebel. Today, Ginny decided she would finally introduce Draco to the DA, and get him to help the order.
She was currently on her way to the library- dressed in ravenclaw robes, and under the concealment charm, which made her hair pitch black, and freckles skin turn pale. Her eyes, however, were the same.
Entering the library, and walking over to the corner of the room, Ginny smiled as she noticed the back of Draco's head, sticking out from one a pile of old books. Sitting besides him, she elbowed his side.
"Starting before me?" She smirked, as she watched his eyes recognise her.
"I can't wait till you turn back." He smiled, "I miss my little ginger snap."
"Shut your face Albino." She retorted, pulling out her books, "Listen, I wanted to ask you something." She began, as Draco nodded for her to go on. "You know when I said you could help the DA? Well we have a meeting tonight, and I was thinking you should come."
For a few seconds, his eyes twitched, trying to decide wether or not it was a good idea. Draco was sure he gave many of them detentions, and knew getting in their good side wouldn't be easy, but he did promise Ginny.
"What would I have to do?" He asked, as Ginny broke into a grin.
"Write down everything you know about Voldemort and his followers- their plans and so on, and we'll send it to my parents." Ginny smiled.
"Gin- you're not supposed to be at school." Draco said, as her smile fell, "and they check letters for things like this- you'll get found out." He said, as Ginny began to speak.
"It's okay- we have invisible ink- my parents know how to see it, and for who it's addressed to... we could send it to Remus Lupin, or Nevilles grandma. They can then send it to my parents."
"Gin- it's risky. We break every school rule. If one tiny thing goes wrong- that's it. We're found out." Draco explained, as Ginny sighed.
"There must be a way."
Looking at the girl who resembled Ginny only through her eyes, made Draco's heart sink. He couldn't let her go on like this any more, and he didn't think he could either.
"Well- Nymphomaniac Tonks is still with the werewolf, correct?" He asked, as Ginny glared at him.
"It's Tonks and Remus. But yes." She corrected.
"Well, she is my aunt. I could write it to her? My father sent me an owl that can bypass the searching station. Since I'm a death eater, Snape would think it's something to send to the Dark Lord."
"Voldemort, Draco. But that's a brilliant idea." She said, as her eyes lighted up. "The meeting starts in an hour- we better get this studying over with. Thanks again by the way." She smiled, pecking his cheek.
Smiling, Draco nodded, and began teaching her everything he learnt last year.
"The Room of Requirements? I thought Umbridge destroyed that years ago?" Draco asked, confused, as Ginny smirked.
"She did, but before Dumbledore died, he began to repair it. Slughorn actually finished it off- said he'd have his next Slug club dinner there- though I think he knew we'd use it for the DA." She smiled.
"Wow- never thought it'd be him." Draco said, laughing slightly.
"Neither- I guess people surprise you when he'll is needed most." She smiled, as the door formed on the stone wall. "You're doing a good thing Draco. I'm really proud of you." She smiled.
Opening the door, they walked in to almost forty students, standing in a huddled circle, waiting for their leader.
"What is he doing here?" Asked Neville, marching up towards Draco.
"He is here to help! He is on our side." Ginny defended, standing in front of him.
"You're joking, right Gin? He tortured me- used sectumsemperu!" Lavender protested.
"How can a death eater help?" Cho asked.
"He has information to send to the Order- he can help stop Voldemort." Ginny defended, holding his hand.
"But he is a death eater." Someone countered.
"Not out of choice." Draco spoke, silencing everyone, "If I didn't join, my family would have been killed. I know I've wronged you all in the past, but I'm trying to make it right."
After a beat of silence, Seamus stepped out.
"I believe him." He smiled- probably thanks to Blaise. Draco made a mental note to thank him later.
"Me too." Dean agreed.
"Ginny trusts him we all know how hard it is to gain her trust. I believe in Ginny, so I also do Draco." Luna spoke from Nevilles side.
Draco heard a few agreeing comments from the crowd, as Nevilles face softened. Draco was so pleased he became friends with some of these people- or this would have been a pickle.
"Okay then. What do you propose we do?"
Beaming at her friends, Ginny told them her plan, and soon Ginny, Draco and Neville were sat in the corner, writing the letter, while Luna, Dean and Seamus taught the rest of the group defence charms and spells.
An hour later, the letter was finished, and they all watched as Draco's owl flew away.
"I hope this works." Neville whispered.
Too scared themselves, everyone stayed quiet, watching as the small white dot disappear.
Not soon after, the room emptied, and all who were left was Ginny, Draco, Neville, Luna, Seamus and Dean.
"Err, Seamus, can I talk to you for a second?" Draco asked, as the Irish man nodded, walking over to a corner, "listen-"
"You're giving me detention. Blaise told me." He smiled, "It's okay- just don't mess me up too bad, yeah?"
"Don't worry- I'll do as little as I can- oh, and if you break my mates heart- I'll kill you." He smiled, as Seamus returned it.
"I couldn't even if I wanted to." He smiled.
"Hey- we could invite Blaise and the others to join the DA- none of them want to be around if Voldemort takes over."
"You'll have to ask Neville about that- but I'm pretty sure the final battle shall happen soon. Apparently Harry is on the move." Seamus replied.
"About time." Draco smiled.
Finally things would be looking brighter soon.
