The beautiful beryl dress lay on Ginny's bed, blending into the green silk sheets. The alluring fabric draped over the end of the bed, pooling out into the dark oak floor. The various gems gleamed as the last rays of sun warmed the sequins- making them look like melted gold specs.
She ran her pale hand over the smooth fabric, and danced her fingers over the embroidery. It looked as if the dress was made for royalty- well, it was made for a goddess.
Ginny strayed her eyes form the gorgeous gown, and landed them back onto the pages of the book Madam Malkin had given her.
It said, Asteria was the Titan goddess of falling stars and of nighttime divinations. That must have been why I'm so good at Astrology. She thought.
The book continued to talk about her life- which most of the pages Ginny spent about a second looking at- and finally the dress. It was said Asteria had made the dress herself, and used thick palm leaves for the fabric, and used her tears as the sequins.
She continued to read more into the book, till Pansy strode in, wearing her navy blue dress.
"Gin! Hun- I know the books cool- but the boys will be waiting if you don't get ready!" Pansy cried, snapping the book shut and pushing the dress into Ginny's chest.
Laughing, Ginny did as she was told and slipped off her clothes, and pulled on the gown.
It fit perfectly. It hugged her body in all the right ways, and flowed freely at the bottom, a small trail glided behind her.
"Dam girl. You look so good! You don't even need makeup or any thing! But let me fix your hair." Pansy laughed, grabbing a brush and making her way over to her friend.
Ten minutes later, Ginny's red mess had turned into a beautiful loose braid, curled stray strands framing her fresh face. This was the best she had ever looked, and Ginny couldn't help but admire herself in the mirror.
"Right. Time to go." Pansy smiled, as they left the dorm and glided down the stairs.
All eyes stuck to Ginny as she made her descend, a silver pair paying extra attention to every inch of her, taking her in. Draco could have swarm his heart skip a beat, and hammer so hard it felt as if it would jump out of his chest.
His jaw dropped as she walked up to him, a small smile on her face.
"Draco?" She asked, after a minutes silence.
"Mate?" Blaise chuckled, patting his shoulder, finally drawing Draco out of his trance.
"If I wasn't gay, I'd totally tap that." He whispered to his friend, causing the blonde to scowl lightly.
His eyes met a pair of honey brown ones, and he almost melted. She's so beautiful. He thought.
"Hey. You ready?" He asked, sticking out an arm for her.
"As I'll ever be." She smiled, resting her hand in the nook of his elbow.
"You look beautiful, by the way." He smiled, lovingly to her, as they walked down the halls.
Passers by all stared at the perfect couple; Draco, wearing a opulent suit and hair brushed to perfection, and Ginny with her dress. They looked awe-inspiring together, but they had no clue. They were to entrapped by the other- enticed by the others eyes.
"So do you." Ginny returned, "handsome. You clean up nice." She smiled, making Draco smirk.
"Only for you." He smiled, as they walked down the halls.
