After returning from another tiresome training with the Harpies, Ginny dragged her body to the astronomy class.
Recently, Ginny's grades and understanding of the stars had boosted- so much so, that she was top of the class. She could tell any constellation in the sky, and knew what they all meant.
Slipping into the room, she took a seat next to her friend from Griffindor, and listened, interested as what Sinistra was saying.
"Now, does anyone know the meaning for the constellation of Draco?" She asked.
Once again, Ginny's hand shot up, while the other students flicked through their books for the answer.
"Miss Weasley."
"Draco means dragon in Latin. The Draco constellation lies in the northern sky and is one of the largest constellations. Draco represents Ladon, the dragon that guarded the gardens of the Hesperides in Greek mythology."
"Very good Miss Weasley. 10 points to Griffin- oh sorry my dear, I forget you are now Slytherin. 10 points to Slytherin." She said, before continuing the lesson.
"Of course she knows all about Draco." Said a voice in-front of her- saying the boys name in a poor imitation of Ginny's voice.
Ginny had to bite her tongue, and grip her quill, to turn a blind eye to the persons comment.
"She's such a stuck up know it all." A girl sneered.
"I can't believe she is actually trying to get Slytherin points." Another said.
"He's a evil little snake-"
But Ginny couldn't hold it in anymore.
Muttering a spell under her breath, the girls ink pot tipped over her work, and onto her clothes, making her scream in disgust.
"Oh no. I see we have a spillage," the professor said, "please, clean your self up, girl, and try not to get any ink anywhere else." Sinistra said, annoyed. She rolled her eyes as the girl left the room, covered in ink.
The class continued as normal, till Sinistra finished the lesson.
"Miss Weasley, may I have a word?" She asked, as she was about to leave.
Ginny nodded, as she walked towards her desk, glaring at some of the pupils who insulted her on the way.
After the rest of the students left, Sinistra spoke.
"Your knowledge astronomy is impressive- I dare say the most advanced I've ever taught. Since you know everything I can teach, I have spoken to Dumbledore and we have agreed to offer you to do your Astronomy OWL and NEWTs if your OWL grades are acceptable. The exam for your OWL will be on the last day of school, then if your grade allow it, your NEWTs exam will happen with the rest of your year, who will be doing their OWLs. I understand you have many out of school commitments, but I think you could pass your astrology exam today with an outstanding." She smiled.
"Wow- um, thank you Professor. I'd love to." Ginny answered stunned.
"Fabulous. And congratulations on the Harpies." She said, as Ginny left the room.
Ginny walked to her potions class in a daze.
At the front, the Ron and Hermione stood at their desk, Harry and Neville behind them, Dean and Seamus behind them, then Blaise, Draco, Theo and Pansy in a row at the back.
"Hey Ginny!" Said Harry, happily, as he got out his books. "Me and Hermione are coming to the Burrow to stay for Christmas and the wedding."
"Oh. Hi Harry." She smiled, "yea, Mione told me. That's great." She said.
