Thank you for the love 💗💗

"Bye." Ginny said, to her friends, as she walked to the Slytherin table.

Looking towards the usual seats she would sit at, she saw Draco, Blaise, Theo and Pansy, talking. Noticing her, Pansy looked up and smiled towards her- which Ginny returned- but sat a few seats away from them, alone.

"You have to talk to her." Whispered Pansy to Draco, who shook his head.

"I can't." He answered, as he looked towards her, sadly.

He had to make sure they believed they had broken up for this to work. And if that meant not sitting together, then he would do it.

"Well, I'm not going to let her sit alone." Said Pansy, getting you from her seat and walking over to her.

"Hey, Gin." She smiled, sitting next to her.

"Hi Pans. You don't have to sit here if you don't want to." Ginny smiled.

"Nonsense." Retorted Pansy, filling her plate with food.

"Thanks." Said Ginny, after a moments silence.

"No problem. You're much cooler than the boys anyway." She smiled. "You need to show me your star powers." She said, excitedly.

"Yes! I've been practicing over the holidays- I can show you tonight." Ginny answered.

"Definitely." Said Pansy, before both girls dug into their tea.

Throughout the meal, Ginny felt terrible for splitting up the friendship group, over nothing, and looked over to the three boys.

Theo was trying to lighten the mood, by talking, excitedly, to the boys about the quidditch match he had watched in the holidays, while the other boys listened, trying to look interested. Blaise fiddled with a potato, rolling it around his plate, while listening to his friend. Draco looked as he had done before Ginny moved into Slytherin; stone cold. His brow had the old crease in, making him look much older, and his mouth had turned into a thin line- as it used to be.

Ginny hated seeing him like the 'old Draco', but knew it had to be done to make sure the plan worked. Before the holidays, the two had discussed the danger in their relationship, and agreed on protecting their friends and family over their relationship.

His eyes met hers for a split second, and Ginny immediately felt at ease. Smiling, she continued to eat her meal till Dumbledore stood to give his speech.

"Welcome back students." He said, as the final conversations came to an end, "I hope you had a good Christmas. As you know, the fifth years shall be taking their OWLS this term, as well as a few students taking their NEWTs, so please be quiet while the exams are in progress." He said, "the house cup shall be taking place after we have our sorting ceremony." Causing some students to whisper between themselves, "hopefully this shall show you how similar you all really are. Any who, as you all have probably heard by now, Voldemort is back, and may tempt to lure you to join him. I trust you to resist and use your bright minds wisely." He said, before sitting down, as the hall filtered out.

In the hustle and bustle of the children, two girls managed to slip out to the courtyard. They sat under the grand willow tree, and stuck their heads out from under the leafy veil.

"Watch this." Whispered Ginny, as she waved her hand in front of the stars, as they moved in motion with her hand.

Sitting up straight, Pansy gasped.

"No way!" She squealed, excitedly, as she threw her hand over her mouth.

"I know right!" Ginny said, mirroring her excitement. "And I know what each star is, their story, and what the astronomy predicts."

"You might as well take Sinistra's job." Chuckled Pansy.

"I doubt I'd know shit if it wasn't for Asteria." Ginny said, as they watched the stars twinkle above them.

"I hear you a proper Harpie. Congrats." Spoke Pansy.

"Yeah. I can't believe it." Smiled Ginny.

"So, is that what you want to do then? Quidditch, I mean?"

"Since I knew what quidditch was, all I wanted to do was be in the air." Ginny smiled, "The look on the boys face when I got recruited." Ginny laughed to herself, remembering her brothers reaction to when she showed them Jones's letter.

"I think I'd like to become a house wife." She thought, "or help Blaise with his potions shop. I could never have a full time job."

"How come?" Ginny asked, as Pansy sighed.

"Well, my mother is one, and I never had any drive to do something with my life. Mother says all respectable pure blood women shouldn't take up a career." This made Ginny snort.

"We are not living in medieval times." She chuckled.

"I know. But that's just how I've been brought up. Theo wouldn't mind whatever I choose-"

"You decide what you want to become. Not some ancient standards or wizard." Ginny said, seriously, "It's your life. You only get one. Live it how you want."

They sat in silence, admiring the stars. Soon, a nippy breeze picked up, and the girls stood up and headed to the dungeons.

Walking through the doors, they moved past the three boys, that sat in front of the fire, being warmed by the flickering flames.

Pansy gave a small smile to Theo as the girls walked to their room.

"So, you two are properly over?" Sighed Blaise, as the door closed behind them.

"Yup." Draco said, not showing any emotion, "it would have never worked. We're on opposite sides. Anyway, it couldn't have lasted."

"Too good to be true?" Asked Theo, as Draco gave him a dead-planned look.

"No. Have you forgotten I am now working with the same man that wants her family dead? Hell, almost killed her?" He asked sharply, in a hushed voice.

"But-" Theo and Blaise tried to reason, but was shut down by Draco's shake off his head.

"No. It is for the best. Just drop it, yeah?" He asked, as the two boys backed down, defeated.

"So, how was it?" Asked Blaise, after a beat of silence.

"Hmm, let me think. Being stuck in a house full of death eaters and the greatest murderer of all time- fantastic." He said, sarcastically.

"Sorry, mate. I didn't mean-" Blaise began, but stopped as Draco stood.

"I'm going to bed. Night." He said before heading to his dorm.
