This morning, Ginny decided to sleep in and actually speak to her roommates. Since Dumbledore said she would be in Slytherin for the rest of the year, she decided to zone out all the negative thoughts and allow herself to enjoy her time in Slytherin.
She felt terrible for leaving everyone and knew it wouldn't be easy to get them to forgive her. Especially Draco. She knew she hurt him the most and he was the one she avoided the best. He was a Malfoy- her families enemies: a pompous git and death eater. But now... being apart from him... those things didn't matter. He made her laugh and not feel weird being herself. Sure he had his stuck up moments- but Ginny found she rather liked them.
Rustling of bedcovers graced her ears and small, innocent yawns filled the room.
Ginny pokes her head out her curtains to see Pansy yawning and stretching out of her bed. She splayed her arms out and stretched her whole body, oblivious to her actions being watched.
As she turned to neaten her bed, she spotted Ginny's face, sticking out her drapes.
"Oh, Ginny, you are up... and in the dorm... when I'm in here." She said, surprised.
Ginny hopped out of her bed and stood opposite Pansy, helping her with her bed.
"I'm so sorry for airing you and he gang. Those ravenclaws got in my head and I was scared what'll happen when I leave. You guys have been nothing but nice to me and I ruined everything. Dumbledoor started the transfer to stop all this segregation between houses- not to make it worse. If I am no longer the Griffindor Princess- then oh well!"
Ginny rambled on, desperate for Pansys forgiveness."Gin, it's okay." Pansy said, "I get it. I know it's weird for people to see you with us and you lost some friends due to us. It's understandable- I'm surprised it hadn't happened sooner." She laughed, lightly.
"Pans, I am so sorry." Ginny sighed, hugging her friend.
"No worries. Now, let's get some food in you- your as thin as a stick." She laughed.
As they left the dungeons, Ginny sighed.
"Do you think the boys will forgive me?"
"Of course, Blaise and Theo were so bummed over the quidditch- but they missed you and I'm sure we'll have you and Blaise as drinking buddies soon." She laughed.
"And Draco?" Ginny asked.
"Ginny... when you left- he- he didn't take it well. I don't think you know just how much you mean to him. He was the one who wanted to be friends with you- he wouldn't shut up about how cool you were for weeks- and this was before you moved." Pansy explained, entering the hall. "The stuff going on back home for him aren't good. I think you are his refuge."
"What's happening at home?"
"It's not my life to tell."
They sat at the Slytherin table and began to eat.
"So, how are you and Theo doing?" Ginny asked, taking a spoon of yoghurt to her mouth.
"What do you mean?" She asked.
"You know what I mean." Ginny laughed.
"No I don't. We are only going to the ball together- bloody hell! It's in two nights!" She shrieked, knocking Ginny's arm, sending yoghurt all over her robes.
At that moment the three boys walked in the hall, chatting intensely- as if they were having a debate amongst themselves. Blaise looked angry, and every time Draco spoke, his face seemed to scowl even more. Draco had a assertive mask over his face, as he tried to get his point across to the boys. Theo looked bored of the conversation and rolled his eyes as the boys argued.
