"Ginny!" He cried, looking more alive than he had the entire holiday.
"Oh shit." Said Blaise, as he sat between a desperate looking Draco and a emotionless Ginny.
"So you planned this all along? You never liked me in the first place?" She whispered, "why? Why Draco? I gave my heart to you, and you tore it in two!" By now, a few stray tears were rolling down her cheeks.
"No! No, Ginny, just listen-" he pleaded, but she cut him off.
"No Draco. I'm done." And with that she left.
Now the compartment was left in an eerie silence.
"Sorry, mate." Said Blaise, guiltily.
"I'm sure she'll come around." Pansy said, trying to lighten the mood.
"Why don't you go look for her?" Asked Theo.
After a beat of silence, Draco took in a shaky breath.
"I'll see you in the great hall. I need to be alone." He said, before walking out of the compartment.
He walked down a few of the lines of doors, till he reached the very last one. Entering it, he saw Ginny sitting by the window.
"Did it work?" She asked, as she took her eyes away from the window, that had droplets of rain gliding down the smooth glass, and to his silver orbs.
"Yeah. I said I'd meet them at the great hall." He replied.
"I hate lying to them." She said, as he walked over to her and sat on the spare seat.
"Same. But this is the only way." He said, smiling slightly.
"I missed you." She said, as she got up to sit on his lap, burrowing her head in the crook of his neck.
"I missed you to." He sighed, hiding his nose in her urban locks, inhaling her comforting smell.
"What was it like at the manor?" She asked.
"A living hell. He was there. In my house. Along with his friends. I... I..." he tried to tell her, but couldn't find the words.
"You got the dark mark." She finished, looking into his eyes.
He nodded, as a silent tear slipped out of his eye. Nodding her head, she pulled him into a closer hug, cradling his head in her chest, as she tangled her fingers in his hair, massaging his head, making him calm down.
Ginny found the spot one time when they lay against one of the quidditch posts one night. He was telling her of the most recent letter his mother had sent, telling him of how Death Eaters prowled the halls of his house. After falling into a fit of sobs, Ginny massaged his head- as she did now- and he calmed down almost instantly.
"Can I see?" She asked, as he shakily nodded.
Lifting up his sleeve, Ginny saw the ink that tainted his pure skin. Stroking a finger over the tattoo, she rested her head on his, pulling the sleeve back down, hiding the mark.
"It'll be okay." She whispered, kissing his lips lightly.
"Are you sure this plan will work?" He asked.
Nodding she answered, "Yes. If our closest friends believe we are broken up, so will the rest of the school. If you say you saw Snape at your house, then we know he is working with Voldemort. If anyone knows of us then both our families will be in danger." She said, "this is how we win." She smiled.
"My parents like you." He said, causing her eyes to widen, "my mother saw the letters and didn't say one bit of criticism. She says you're keeping me sane." He smiled, "dad likes you to."
"Wow." She smiled, "who would have thought the man who tried to kill me actually likes me dating his son." She laughed, as Draco took a sharp breath.
"Don't joke. That scares me." He said, pulling her closer to him- as if he was sheltering her from danger.
"Your so overprotective." She laughed.
"You're too precious to me to loose you." He said, kissing her head.
"This will work." She reassured him.
"It better. You know I won't like it." He sighed, as she kissed his nose.
"Neither will I, but once he is defeated- think about it." She smirked.
"It'll be electric baby." He smiled, kissing her, passionately.
They made out for a while till the train hooted, telling the children they were 15 minutes away from Hogwarts. Pulling away from Draco's irresistible lips, Ginny gasped for air. By this time, Draco was now laying down on the seats- his shirts buttons undone, while Ginny straddled him.
"We should get changed." She said, crawling off his lap.
"I could help you change." Draco smirked, sitting upright.
Rolling her eyes, Ginny grabbed her robes and left the compartment, leaving Draco to re-button his shirt.
Walking out of the carriage, she spotted Luna alone in a compartment, as usual reading the Quibbler- upside down of course. Ginny smiled as she knocked on the door lightly, grabbing Luna's eyes.
"Hey Luna." She smiled, slipping into the room.
"Hello Ginny." Luna returned, looking her over, "Your hair is a mess- unusual for you." She said in her distant voice.
"Oh- I fell asleep." Ginny smiled, closing the door behind her. "Mind if I change?" She asked.
Luna nodded, and went back to reading her magazine, while Ginny rolled the blinds down.
"How was your holiday?" She asked, as Ginny took of her clothes.
"Good, thank you. I spent most of my time training." Ginny answered.
"Oh yes! Congratulations! My father told me of your sign in- front page of the Quibbler."
"Thank you. How was your holiday?" Ginny asked, throwing on her robes, and fixing her hair.
"Quite normal. Dad and I spent most of our time flying with nargles." Luna answered, smiling as Ginny sat down, dressed in her school robes.
"That sounds like fun." Came a voice from the door, as two people walked into the compartment.
"Hello Dean Thomas and Seamus Finniagan." Spoke Luna, from behind her newspaper.
"Hello Luna Lovegood." Answered Seamus, bowing slightly, as Luna giggled lightly.
"You alright Gin? Blaise told us you and Draco had a row." Asked Dean.
"We broke up." Ginny answered, simply- though twitching slightly.
"Draco Malfoy?" Asked Luna, as the three nodded their heads, "But your auroras brighten whenever you are near."
"It was a phase, Lu. Anyway, when did you speak to Blaise?" She asked.
"Well, we hadn't seen you the whole ride, so we found Ron and asked where you are, and he said, and I quote 'in the snake pit' so I went to the compartment you guys are normally in and found Blaise, Theo and Pansy. They said you and Draco had a fight or misunderstanding and left." Answered Seamus.
"Then we came to find you." Finished Dean.
Ginny smiled, as the train came to a stop.
"Come on, I'm starving." Said Dean, as the four left the train.
