"What are you doing, child?" A soft voice spoke, causing Ginny's eyes to open. Before her, Aesteria stood, looking as magnificent as she did the last time Ginny saw her.
"I can't." She sighed, "I've tried so hard. I don't know who you want me to be, but I've tried- I've tried so hard to carry on, but-"
"You can't or you won't?" Aesteria asked, walking around Ginny's body.
"If I could have I'd have done so already." Ginny spoke, tears falling down her face as she lay still.
"Stand." Aesteria ordered, as Ginny felt her body elevate upwards.
She felt as if she was as light as air- the heavy weight of her exhausted body gone.
"Turn around."
Doing so, Ginny saw herself lying on the ground looking lifeless. Gasping and stumbling back, Ginny's eyes became swarmed by another wave of tears as she saw her blank eyes.
"What? What is this?" She sobbed, clutching her chest.
"This is you. I've separated your soul from your body to show you what you look like. Are you happy with yourself?" She asked, as Ginny frowned; partly because she didn't like herself, but also because of the question.
"No." She answered, after a beat of silence.
"Because I don't think you know this girl anymore."
Looking at herself, Ginny was reminded by her first year- and how it felt to lie in the chamber. If she died, her body would lie there forever, and become engulfed into the countryside, lust like how her body would lie in the chamber. Ginny spent too much time removing the chamber from her life to allow her to end like this.
"The moment I left the chamber I promised myself never to be alone- to never allow the dark, gloomy thoughts to consume me." Walking over to the body, she cupped her cheek with her hand. "I'm not going to let myself go back to that place." Turning her head to a smiling Aesteria, Ginny said, "I- I will not go back on my word."
Nodding, Aesteria clicked her finger, as Ginny's vision turned blank, and the weight of her body came back. Now, as she opened her eyes, she was part of her body again- her soul put back, and her mind set straight.
Mustering every last bit of strength in her body, Ginny managed to stand. Aesteria stood in the same place Ginny last saw her, only this time, this was in the real world.
"You're going to need some strength to defeat him." She smiled, walking up to her.
Standing in front of her, Aesteria smiled lovingly at Ginny, and cupped her face.
"I have waited centuries for you. And I am not disappointed in the slightest." Kissing the top of her head, she stepped back, smiling, "I am proud to call you my descendent."
As the heat from her lips warmed her head, Ginny felt something explosive spread through her body. It felt as if Ginny's blood had turned into liquid gold and light shon within her. Ginny wasn't sure how to explain it, but she felt empowered.
As she was elevated into the air, her rough fabric of her clothes were replaced by cool gold and soft silk, and extended onto her forehead. Her hair flowed graciously, along with her new robes as she was settled onto the ground.
