700! Thank you! Xx
As Draco slept, nightmares haunted his sleep. Normally, Ginny would be in his dreams; twirling around like a child and falling into his arms- but this dream was different.
He was looking at the living room of the manor, and every light was turned off. Ginny's sleeping body tucked up next to him, on their lavish green couch. He was watching the moonlight kiss her skin, when a disturbing voice entered the room.
Draco got up to see Voldemort stand at the doorway, and motion for him to join him. He watched himself leave Ginny one the couch and walked over to the pale, noseless man.
"Draco." The unsettling voice drifted to his ears.
"Master." The blonde replied.
Draco watched as he saw his eyes glass over- showing Voldemort had complete control over him.
As he watched himself in the dream, he was yelling 'no!' But it was too late. Voldemort already had a scaled hand resting in his shoulder.
"Draco?" Croaked the voice from the couch.
Ginny had just woke up to see Draco standing besides Voldemort. Her face looked so angry, Draco thought he could see her veins surfacing on her head.
"You! Leave him alone!" She yelled as she got up to her feet, raising her wand.
As Draco watched the scene, he yelled for himself to go over and protect her, but instead, he watched as his body stayed still, as Ginny released a spell towards Voldemort. As it was about to hit the man, the spell was blocked by one of Draco's.
He watched himself, helplessly, as he stalked up towards Ginny and slapped her so hard she fell to the floor. With a swish of his wand he muttered 'avada kedavra" and her small body became limp.
Cries became him as he watched himself kill the woman he loved, as he walked back up to Voldemort, as the rest of the death eaters joined his side. The black fog continued to grow, as Draco woke up, and looked at his black ceiling.
It was just a nightmare. He reassured himself, as he got out of bed, running a hand through his hair and headed for the showers.
After washing, he got changed and saw the scrap book Ginny had given him, and was reminded he should write to her.
A large barn owl perched on his open window, carrying a letter in its beak. Realising it was Blaises, he walked over to pick it up.
Opening it, it read,
Hey man, hope everything is going okay at the manor, and if it becomes too much, you can crash at mine.
Keep your head up and don't let that noseless freak get to you,
Your best mate and future best man and godfather of your children, Blaise
Chuckling, Draco walked over to his desk and got out his quill and a piece of parchment before writing.
Hey Blaise, thanks for the letter- it's a bloody nightmare over here. I can't believe the ministry hasn't got him yet!
Thanks for the advice and help, but I'm going to try as hard as I can to protect my family.
And who says you'll be my best man and godfather to my children? Ginny has a say in that department anyway.
Mate, could you send the other letter to Ginny? I miss her- Don't tell any one that.
Thanks pall,
Draco
He slipped the paper in the envelope and began to write his letter to Ginny.
Dear Ginny,
How are you? I know it's a boring question, but seriously, how are you? I worry about you, Gin- I don't want you to forget me x I love you and I want you to know I'd never hurt you, and I'm going to protect you x
Things have been dull at the manor- I've just locked myself up in my room, hiding x Hopefully, I will be able to stay up here for the rest of the holiday x Your scrapbook really means the world to me, and I can't wait to see you when school starts again x
How has training been? Hopefully not too brutal x Have you made any friends yet? Are they treating you okay? You don't know how much I think about you. Did that sound creepy? Sorry- can't help it x
Please write to me soon and don't forget to send it through one of the gang x love and miss you,
Draco x
He folded the letter and charmed it so only she could read it, and added it to the envelope, before giving it to the owl as it flew out.
Turning back to his room, a small knock was heard from his door.
"Draco?" Called the voice of his aunt, Bellatrix, through the door, "someone wants to see you."
After an exhausting quidditch practice with the harpies, Ginny walked into the house, worn out.
"Ginny, dear. Dinners on the table, and a letter came for you." Mrs Weasley said, handing her daughter the letter, as Ginny sat down.
Spooning some hot vegetable soup into her mouth, she lazily opened her letter and skimmed over the words.
Hey Red, it's Blaise. Draco asked if I could help you guys out with your letters, which I agreed, as long as I get to be Draco's best man and godfather to your first child. Anyway, just checking you're okay. If the Weasel is being a moron or Potter is getting on your nerves, please hold your tongue and wait till we get back to school, so I can see you kick his ass!
Also, do you happen to know how Seamus is? I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to him.
Anyway, my owls name is Morva, and he likes owl treats.
Love ya!
Smiling, she replied to her friend, before noticing another niece of parchment.
Opening it, she realised it was from Draco.
She began to write her letter, but her mothers talking destructed her.
"Ginny, dear, it's late. Finish your letter tomorrow- your soup is going cold." The woman said, as she glanced at the letters, "Who's it from?"
"Just some friends." She said, gathering the pieces of paper to her chest as she gulped down her soup.
"Thanks mum. Night." She said, quickly, running up stairs.
Entering her room, she was about to reply to her letters, but Hermione sat on the spare bed no the floor.
"Hey, Gin. A lot of letters you got there." She said, smiling.
"Err, yeah." Ginny answered.
"You can finish writing back if you want, I don't mind."
"No, don't be silly." Ginny answered, placing the papers into her bedside draw. "I'll do that tomorrow."
"Thanks Gin. Your brother has been stuck in my head for days now. I can't get him out of my head." Hermione moaned.
"Eiw." Ginny answered, as she listened to her friends rant, till they fell asleep.
