As Ginny wiped away her tears, she ran to the old broom shed and picked up the first one she saw. Ginny felt so out of place at the school, she had to get away.
Reaching the courtyard, Ginny kicked off the ground and flew over the school, that was illuminated by the soft torch light from the fires. It broke her heart that she no longer had a place in the school, and had to get out.
As she glided over the lake, Ginny headed to the tree her and Draco danced under. The only light guiding her was from the moon.
As she finally found the spot, she sat under its branches, and looked out across the water.
How could she not be in a house? She was the Griffindor princess, and new slytherin, but now she was nothing. She dreaded what her mother would say, and she could already hear her brothers teasing her.
Though Ginny didn't show it as often as she should, she loved school, and now she had no place in it, she felt invaluable.
Sighing, she buried her head between her knees, and attempted to steady her breathing. However, that only made her emotions worse. Soon she was full out sobbing, and wet tears stained her cheeks, as her lips trembled like jelly.
She hardly heard the presence of someone walking up to her, before a kind hand rested on her shoulder.
Surprised, she whipped her head to her side, to see Draco sitting next to her, his crooked smile making her eyes even more glassy than before, and soon she was sprawled across his lap, melting.
"Shh." He soothed, trying to calm her nerves.
"I have no place." She sobbed into his chest, as he stroked her hair, trying his best to comfort her.
"Yes you do. You have two. One in Slytherin and another in Griffindor. Your lucky enough to chose." He comforted, as she shook her head.
"I'm not part of any house, Draco! I have no place here." She cried, as her limbs began to feel numb.
"Yes you do. Ginny, you are the best witch I know- that's why that happened." He spoke, as she continued to shake with sadness.
"I'll be kicked out- I can't stay." She weeped, hiding her face in her hands.
"Hey, look at me." Draco spoke, as Ginny shook her head and retreated back into the bark of the tree.
Leaning towards her, he pried her hands from her patchy face and held her cheeks in his hands.
"Slytherin would be proud to have you. You are my everything, I'm not going to let anything happen to you." He said, as she looked at him with glassy eyes.
"But I have no house- I... I." She tried to speak, but had to crunch her eyes closed to stop herself from falling into another meet down.
Kissing her forehead, he trailed kisses down her wet face and left a final one on her swollen lips.
"You are the strongest person I know." He whispered, "if anyone can do this is you." He said softly, as she took in an unsteady breath.
"Do they know you're here? Were you followed?" She asked, worriedly.
"No. The gang went looking for you and I said I was heading back to the common room." He said, "I flew out my dorm window."
Smiling, Ginny could finally see his silver eyes clearly.
"Thank you." She whispered, as she kissed him lightly.
Sighing, Draco wrapped his arms around her, and rested his chin on her head.
"You have all of the holiday to decide what house you want." He said, as he took a long sniff of her hair.
Chuckling, she pushed him off her.
"That's so weird." She exclaimed, chuckling.
"What?" He defended.
"When you snort my hair up." She laughed, "If you're going to small it atleast to so quietly." She smiled, as he pulled her back onto him, studding his head in her hair as he made loud sniffing noises, as Ginny squirmed in his arms.
"Eiw!" She cried, "release me you animal!"
Letting go, he chuckled, as Ginny hit him lightly.
"I was going to ask you if you could be my invisible date to my brothers wedding, but I think I'll just ask someone else." She said, as Draco grabbed her wrist and yanked her back down into his lap.
"What's this?" He asked, dangerously close to her face, as he gave the best smouldering look he could muster.
Smiling she sat up, and answered.
"Bill and Phlegm's wedding. It's happening some time in the holidays, and since you're my boyfriend, and my mum wants me to bring a date, I thought I'd ask you." She smiled, as Draco's lips faltered, causing Ginny's to drop.
"Sorry Gin, I know it's just a joke, but being together like this kills me. I want to tell the world about us, but we can't. Imagine all the things we could be doing if we weren't in this world." He said, blue, as he turned his head to the floor.
"No Draco." Ginny said, as she brought her band to his face, and lifted it up, so his detached eyes looked into hers, "it only makes moments like these more special." She smiled, kissing his lips slightly.
Smiling into the kiss, Draco snaked his arms around her and responded.
After kissing for a while more, Ginny ended up straddling him, before breaking the kiss for air.
"I'm sorry I brought it up." She said, as Draco shook his head.
"No, you're right. I should be grateful we have something so strong." He smiled, "I'm just so excited till we can act like a real couple- who can be seen in public together without destroying the world." He laughed, as Ginny smiled.
As he rested his hand on her cheek, Ginny grabbed it, and looked at the time in his wrist watch.
"We should start heading back." She said lowly, as Draco nodded.
"Race?" She asked, as he nodded.
Soon they were sprinting off to their brooms and kicking off, zooming over the lake and landing next to their dorm windows.
