The blare of alarms is deafening, painting the hallway in strobing emergency red. My boots pounded a rhythmic tattoo against the deck, a desperate drumbeat against the blaring alarms. Beside me, the sleek, black armor of TEX gleamed, her movements fluid and efficient as she kept pace. We were running, always running, in those days.
Then, aqua. A blur of movement, a flash of brilliant armor. CAROLINE, her electric baton snapping to life, moved to intercept us.
GHOST: (Snarling, already drawing a magnum) Out of the way, Carolina! You're making a mistake!

CAROLINA: (Voice sharp, metallic, deflecting Tex's lunge) The only mistake was defying the Director! You're next, Tex!
TEX: (Her custom Bowie knife glinting, pressing the attack) We're not letting you stop us!
Before the weapons could truly clash, the ship shuddered violently, a sickening groan of stressed metal. Alarms intensified, screaming a flatline of impending doom. We stumbled, regained our footing, and resumed our desperate dance of death. Blaster fire railed against bulkheads, the electric baton crackled, and the knife flashed.
WHUMP!
A deafening explosion ripped through the hull, tearing the air from my lungs. I felt myself launched backward, a ragdoll tossed by a giant's hand. The world became a dizzying blur of sparks and debris, the ringing in my ears drowning out all other sounds.
EXT. SNOWY LANDSCAPE - CONTINUOUS (FLASHBACK)
Darkness, then a dull ache. I groaned, pushing myself up. The acrid smell of ozone and burnt wiring filled my nostrils. My vision swam, but as it cleared, I saw only a gaping hole in the hull where the wall should have been. No Tex. No Carolina. Just the howling vacuum and the chilling, white expanse outside.
The wind whipped at my visor, carrying the sting of icy snow. My breath plumed in frozen clouds. In the middle of this desolate, alien landscape, I saw him. The WHITE SOLDIER. He held CAROLINA by the neck, her aqua armor muted by the blizzard. Behind him, TEX lay crumpled on the ground.
My heart seized as the WHITE SOLDIER, cold and unfeeling, tightened his grip, then with a sickeningly casual motion, heaved Carolina's limp form over the precipice.
I sprinted forward, my boots crunching on the frozen ground, my breath ragged. I reached the edge, skidded, and peered down into the swirling abyss.
Nothing. Just the endless, unforgiving white.
GHOST: (Tears streaming down my visor, voice broken, then rising to a furious roar) No... No... No... No... NNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!! I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU, YOU SON OF A BITCH!
VALKYRIE (O.S.): (Urgent, in helmet) Ghost, NOO! Your vitals are spiking! Don't engage!
