EXT. BLUE BASE - DAY

Fade in to the Blues (CHURCH, CABOOSE, TUCKER), standing near Blue Base. TUCKER has just come out of the teleporter, now wearing black armor.

CHURCH: (To Tucker) Are you okay, Tucker? You look... different. And a little singed.

TUCKER: (Panting slightly, adjusting his new black armor) Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little... crispy. (He runs up to the top of a nearby hill.) Come on, Caboose! It's safe!

CABOOSE: (On top of the base, shouting) Does it hurt?! The teleporter?!

TUCKER: (Shouting back) No, not at all! It's like a warm hug!

CABOOSE: (Eyes wide, excited) Okay! Here I come! (He leaps towards the teleporter.)

CHURCH: (To Tucker, a worried tone) Does it hurt for real? Because Caboose is about to jump in there.

TUCKER: (Groans, rubbing his arm) Ohh, yeah. Big time. It feels like I got hit by a truck made of static electricity.

Church and Tucker turn towards the teleporter, watching Caboose.

CABOOSE: (Emerging from the teleporter in black armor, a pained yelp) Owwwchie. (He turns to Tucker, glaring.) You lied to me. That was not a warm hug. That was a very painful, static hug.

EXT. RED BASE - DAY

Cut to SARGE on top of Red Base, looking through binoculars.

SARGE: (Muttering) Ah, dammit. Lopez, c'mere. Do you see something out there? Something... black?

Lopez looks through a sniper rifle, then turns to Sarge and lowers his head, shaking it slowly. Camera pans down to GHOST, GRIF, and SIMMONS inside the base.

SIMMONS: (To Grif, arguing) There's no L in it, it's pronounced both. Like, B-O-T-H.

GRIF: That's what I'm saying. Bolth. It sounds more sophisticated.

SIMMONS: Both. Not bolth. You sound like such an ass the way you say it.

Ghost is standing there... hating every moment of this conversation, his optical sensor flickering in annoyance.

SARGE: (From above, shouting down) Simmons, Grif! Quit your yammering and get your keister up here. Need some help. Got more of them Special Ops fellas headed toward the base. And they're wearing black!

GRIF: (Whining) As in... more than one? Uh, should the bolth of us go, sir. Maybe bolth Simmons and Ghost go, and I come up later. After I finish my nap.

SIMMONS: (Screaming) BOTH.

GRIF: Seriously, man, like an ass. You sound like a pretentious snob.

GHOST: (Flatly, to himself) I hate both of you so f**king much...

SARGE: (Sighs) Well, well. Another brilliant idea from the think tank. Why don't you all come up? Leave the prisoner alone. We could just put her on the honor system - have her guard herself. She seems trustworthy enough.

GRIF: (Nods) Good point, sir. Very efficient.

SARGE: YOU'RE GOD DAMN RIGHT IT IS! Now get your asses up here. We got just enough time for me to spraypaint the bull's-eye on your back... Ah, by bull's-eye, I of course mean camouflage. Now move it, cupcake. Ghost can take care of the prisoner by himself. He's very capable.

GRIF: (Sighs, defeated) Yeah... (sighs) I'll be right up. Just gotta finish my current existential crisis.

SIMMONS: (Saluting crisply) Coming, sir!

EXT. BLUE BASE - DAY

Cut to CHURCH looking through a sniper rifle, perched on a rock.

CHURCH: (Into his radio) Hey, Tucker. Come in, man. You there? This is Church. It's working. The orange one is coming out of the base. I repeat, the orange one is coming out of the base. Get ready.
