Kahit na mamatay na ako sa lamig at sa agap ay minabuti kong huwag ma-late sa unang araw ng substitution ko kay Liam.
I went in the shower and did my bath. Nagsuot lang ako ng khaki, plain white shirt at tsaka white sneakers. I got my things. I got out of my bedroom and to my surprise, it's already 7:30.
I dialled my drivers number.
"Hello?" I said
"Sir, I'll be there in 10 minutes." My driver told me.
10 minutes? I'll be late!
"Ah, sige po. Ako nalang po ang mag-dadrive nung kotse ko dito.."
"okay, sir." Sabi ni kuya.
I got my keys and I immediately went for the elevator. I pressed the parking floor at tumakbo ako papunta sa kotse ko.
When I got in, I realized that I haven't told Liam that I'm gonna go. Hay! Whatever! I will be just telling Alexa to come right over so that Liam can have company.
Nasa tapat na ako ng café. Bakit ako kiinakabahan? Haha! It isn't my first time working on a café.
I parked my car and I got in.
"Good morning!" I greeted them all.
Kumaway naman saakin si Jennie, Liza at si Sir Mark. There is this one guy na nakatingin saakin. I can't recognize him so, I decided to introduce myself to him.
"Hi! I'm Axl." Then I handed my hand at him.
"Red." He said and he reached for my hand.
Tumango ako at kinuha ang apron ko. Nagsusuot ako ng apron ng biglang umimik si Red.
"Bago ka dito?" He asked me.
"Yeah. I'm here to sub Liam."
"Huh?! What happened to Liam?"
Why does he looks like he's too concerned about how Liam is?
"Ah, he broke his hand. But, he's getting okay now." I said.
Nakita ko naman na nahinga ng maluwag si Red.
"Pumunta nga ako kahapon sa apartment niya, pero wala naman nasagot doon."
"That's because he's staying at my condo." I told him while tying the lace in my apron.
"Ha?! Bakit siya nasa condo mo?" Malakas na tanong niya.
Sasagot na sana ako ng biglang hinigit ni Jennie si Red. Papunta na dana ako sa coffee making station ng biglang lumapit si Liz saakin.
"Pasensya na ha, para na kasing mag-kapatid iyang si Red at si Liam. Kaya nitong mga nakaraang araw. Lagi niyang hinahanap si Liam." Liz told me.
"Ah, it's fine." I told her before I smiled at her.
The first customer have entered the café.
Time to work!
Pumunta na agad ako sa station ko at nag-intay ng mga orders.
"One Pumpkin Spiced Macchiato." Sigaw ni Red.
Ah! Let's go.
Once I got the Coffee done, I handed it to Liz and she delivered the coffee to the customer. Kinakabahan ako kasi it has been almost 5 years since I made coffee for another person.
Busy ako sa paggawa ng mga orders ng biglang lumapit saakin si Liz.
"Axl, hinahanap ka noong ginawan mo ng pumpkin spiced macchiato."
