"You did a great job kuya!"
Bumaba ako ng stage at sinalubong ko si Layn na pumunta pa sa rehearsal ng competition next week.
"Thank you." Ngumiti ako sa kanya ko siya inaya na umalis na sa auditorium dahil may kasunod pa na mag-rerehears.
Naglalakad kami ng payapa sa hallway ng biglang may humawak sa balikat ko, lumingon ako at nakita ko si Luke na para bang pagod na pagod at pawis na pawis.
"What the hell happened to you?" I asked.
"I-Is your rehearsals done?"
"Yeah. You're late again. As expected."
Tumingin siya sa gilid ko at nakita niya si Layn. His eyes widen and his eyebrows knitted. "Woah, why did Liam shrink?"
Tumaas naman ang kilay ni Layn nang marinig niya ang pangalan ng kuya niya. Habang nagtitigan ang dalawa ay napatawa ako ng mahina.
"You're so dumb Luke." Hindi ko pa rin napigilan ang tawa ko. "This is Layn, his younger brother."
His mouth opened in his amusement seeing this kid. "Layn, this is Luke, my childhood friend."
We stopped walking suddenly and Luke passed right in front of me. He rushed towards Layn and he held his cheeks.
"What?! You look just like him."
Patuloy ang pagsuri ni Luke sa mukha niya habang nakatitig lang sa kanya si Layn at hinahayaan na mayupi ang mukha niya.
"You look like Liam except you're calmer than him. You're so cute. I wanna spoil you so bad." He pinched his chin.
"Hey! Stop right there! You aren't spoiling anyone here!" Tumaas ang boses ko sa kanya.
"But I like kids!" He frowned.
"He's 18, you dumb shit."
He raised an eyebrow and looked at Layn again. He was just about go near him when I blocked his way. "I said stop, Luke. You aren't spoiling him." I said seriously.
"Or what, huh?"
My mouth opened a bit. Is he trying to threaten me? He'll regret this.
"Would like me to call Pin over?" I asked him dead serious.
He was shocked then he backed off a little bit. "Sabi ko nga sayong-sayo na si Layn." He hissed.
Agad akong napatawa at inakbayan si Layn.
"Where are you going next Axl?" I heard Luke.
"Uhm, nothing more. My practice is done and I have got nothing to do. Maybe I'll deal with my businesses stuff. After all, I should be busy because DenLuX is releasing the winter collection soon."
Tumango siya bago nag-salita. "Well, I'm gonna go. I have a lunch with my brother together with Pin. See you whenever." He winked at me that made me grossed out. Such a flirt!
Lumapit siya kay Layn at hinawakan niya ang balikat nito. "If you need a favor or anything, don't hesitate to ask me. I'm your kuya now." He said straight at Layn.
"Oh! Umalis ka na! Shoo!"
Naglalakad kami ni Layn ng tahimik ng bigla siyang tumigil kaya't agad din ako huminto.
"Bakit Layn? Is something wrong?"
"Uhm, you're working at DenLuX?" Napatingin pa siya sa relo na binigay ko sa kanya.
Umakbay ako sa kanya at naglakad kaming muli. "Yeah. You can say I work there."
"Woah! Really?" Tumingin ako sa kanya at mukhang tuwang-tuwa siya sa sinabi ko.
