Axl
Holding a lunchbox wouldn't be a source of a smile to me. It was corny, didn't like lunchbox at all when I was a child. Who would've thought that years later, into my twenties, I'd be this joyful on a thought of someone made me one.
My mom weren't the hands-on type when it came to me when I was a child so I had to get whatever's available in my school cafeteria. In high school, I had Luke and Dean to look after for my food. This feeling was new and I wasn't even giving it a second thought.
"Looks like you've been a little different today, huh?" I heard Luke.
I just smiled at him before opening the box. A sandwich. Glazed bacon with Japanese mayo.
Before I even took a bite, I already knew that those were gonna taste amazing. Unbeknownst to me that I would taste heaven in that moment, where the sweetness of the bacon and the tanginess of the mayo collided with the roof of my mouth. With every bite, comes a crunch that came from the shredded cabbage, I didn't even know it was there to start.
"Can I have some?"
I immediately tapped Luke's hand as he was sneakily grabbing one of the three pieces left in the container.
I just extended my arm with the sandwich and let him take a bite. His eyes widened for a moment, as expected, and he chewed with his orbs closed.
"Holy shit! That was amazing!" He gasped while speaking. "Where did you buy that?"
"Uh-uh." I said, teasing him.
His eyebrows furrowed as he crossed his arms on his chest. He just looked at me like I betrayed him.
"Okay, fine!" I gave up. There's no way I could endure him acting like that the whole day because of a damned sandwich.
"Liam." I took another bite as he spits out water, thankfully, to a side that has no people sitting. I giggled as soon as he wiped his mouth and nose with his sleeves.
"You guys okay now?" He asked me seriously.
Yeah we've been pretty civil together now. Luke just didn't know yet because we decided to make it private. We'd meet in my condo but then he'd sneak out with the help of my men. Although I have no problems with being seen, he has. Layn wasn't just about to forgive me for what I did and I completely understand.
Not only would he get angry at me, his brother would also be devastated by the wrath of that child.
"Yeah. Lying low. His brother is still angry at me." I said honestly.
"You like him."
With my eyes as wide as they can be, I faced him with a pretty obvious shocked face. He was there, inspecting me like I am sort of a simp.
I kinda was one.
"Hmm?" I just pretended that I didn't hear and continued chipping off on my sandwich. The taste... I couldn't taste it anymore. It's like my brain was using all its power to process what Luke said.
Was I that obvious?
"Oh, Axl." He sighed. "You are as naïve as it gets."
Staring at him like a lost cub, I just shrugged my shoulders to him. It was no use hiding it to him anyways. "Was I that obviou—," I was interrupted by a flying tissue up in my face.
"You're really asking me that?" He looked so disappointed in me.
Rolling my eyes wasn't really my thing but I could maybe use it some time, or maybe just for Luke and his sassy attitude.
