"Sir, he's going to his father's beach houses in the province." I nodded and signaled my men to all go out because my phone is ringing.

He's calling.

I immediately answered it and I unexpectedly heard his voice. Normally when I call, he just stays quiet and wait for me to speak. Maybe because he's still adjusting to me.

After what I did to him, I wouldn't blame him if he despised me. But, luckily for me, he didn't hold any grudges. That doesn't mean that I can take advantage of him though.

After realizing that I needed to reconcile with him, thanks to Alexa that pushed me to say sorry in person, I realized too that he isn't the only one that I did wrong. There's his friends to apologize to and his brother that was the most ready to kill me.

"Please let me escape this hell." He said breathily.

Fuck. I mumbled in my mind.

"Are you okay?" I started to grab my keys and were almost at the front door. Eye to eye contact with my men when he spoke.

"It's my father, Drey." He said sighing.

I told my men to stand down and quietly closed the door behind me and continued to go for the balcony. "Daddy issues?" I asked like I didn't know. "Tell me about it." I joked that made him laugh.

Hearing his voice, laughter, and maybe just his breath were all telling me that I was so stupid to hurt the person that did nothing but care for me.

"Drey, I don't know." He started. "I fucking hate him but..." he then paused.

"Hmm?" I signaled him that I was still listening.

"Layn. I want to do it for him." He almost sobbed that made my heart throb a little.

Weird, I know.

"I'm not gonna force you to do it because I don't know what you went through. I don't want to judge you but the fact the you thought of getting okay with your dad...must've meant that you do want yourself too." I said. "Not just for Layn."

"No! You don't understand me. Having Layn beside me makes me wanna try." He kinda shouted at me.

I got him but he's in-denial so there wasn't really much thing to tell him that would make him realize that he, himself, wanted to be okay with his father.

"So, what now? You want to push Layn away from you?" I grinned, that should work on him.

"No!" He immediately answered. "Kapatid ko siya, kahit anong bagyo pa ang maghiwalay saamin, eventually we'll end up running towards each other somehow."

Napatawa ako ng mahina dahil sa sinabi niya. "It isn't that long when you were ready to punch him in the face anytime, what happened?" I asked, hoping he would say the answer that I need him to.

"I tried—," he paused.

Smiling through while seeing the lights of the metro, I was so happy knowing I was helping him through. Him calling me was a miracle and him coming to me when he needed someone felt surreal.

"Just try to be you, Liam. You're the sweetest person I know." I said making him silent.

He was silent for a very long time but I knew he was still on the other side because I can still hear his deep breaths.

"We're going somewhere tomorrow." He said.

"Hmm?" I pretended that I didn't know. "Where? Is it a vacation or something?"
