"Here you go." Inabot ko na ang iPhone na binili ko para kay Liam.

We're now at the condo. It's almost 6pm. Luke, I, and Liam went shopping for shoes and clothes. Typical Luke thing.

Napaka-gastos noon ni Luke. We're very much different from each other. Noong high school kami, tuwing may off periods kami, Luke would invite me to either go shopping or to go into places where we would spend so much money. Nakakahawa na nga minsan ang pagiging gastador ni Luke.

I remember one time, Luke and I treated the whole class in a sleepover. Sa sobrang lasing ko nun I didn't even notice na I almost spent almost a million peso on stupid things. Haha! Natatawa nalang ako pag naaalala ko.

"Ano toh?" Tanong ni Liam.

"It's your phone. I told you we were gonna buy you one. But, you kept me waiting. Kaya bumili na ako mag-isa. I didn't know what you will like so I bought the latest one." I told him then I smiled.

"Ugh, thank you?" Sabi niya habang nagtataka.

He opened the box and he immediately threw a stare at me. "This is just like yours."

He then grabbed my phone and compared it side to side. And, from what I can see, it's really the same. I didn't know.

"This is the most expensive one, isn't it?" He asked me.

To be honest, I don't know. I didn't checked the price and the receipts.

"Uh, I don't know. I didn't—,"

"WHAT?! it's almost a hundred thousand pesos! You know I cannot accept this. I can't pay you 50,000 thousand in a month." Liam was so angry at me.

He left the phone in the table and went to the balcony of my condo.

Lumapit ako sa lamesa at nakita ko ang resibo ng mga binili ko. Isang iPhone at isang pares ng air-pods. The staff told me na walang earphone jack yung cellphone kaya nag-suggest siya na bumili na rin ako noon. So I went for it.

Haynako. I should've waited for Liam to arrive before I bought this phone. What should I do? I can treat him this phone for no debt in return pero hindi naman siya papayag. Argh! Why can't he let me?! He's getting into my fvcking nerves!

I grabbed the phone and I turned it on. Maganda naman, just like mine. After I opened it, I went to the balcony and I saw Liam sitting on a chair. He was staring at the city lights of Makati. He looks so calm... pero, nararamdaman ko ang lungkot niya.

"Hey Liam. I'm so sorry." Sabi ko habang papalapit sa kanya.

"No. It's okay. I'm just tired. And, I just cannot accept it. It's too expensive. Hindi naman ako mayaman Drey." He said while directly looking at me.

"It's okay Liam. I really wanted to give you this as a gift but you won't let me. It's okay if you will pay me 5 pesos a day. I won't mind it to be honest."

He chuckled a bit. "5 pesos? That would take me almost 28 years of my life just to pay you half a hundred thousand."

"So what?! It's okay. Here you go." I handed him the phone and he took it.

"Thank you Drey." He said.

Hindi na ako nag-salita pa at pumasok na agad ako sa loob. Pumunta na ako agad sa shower para maligo.

Habang nasa shower ako biglang nag ring ang cellphone ko na nasa may vanity ng banyo ko I went out of the shower and I answered it.

"Hello?" I said.
