Chapter 2. "I didn't see that coming"
And I am sure that he has my book.
What if mabasa niya? What if ipagkalat niya? My life is already miserable in this school and it'll be more miserable if what's inside that notebook expose on the whole campus.
Just like what always happens, every time I move, all of my classmates look to me like I am a kind of criminal in this room.
Wala naman akong gagawin at wala naman akong kasama sa bahay, both of my parents died eight years ago. And after that incident, I discovered that I have this curse or kind of ability to see the death of people I touch or who touches me. Since then, I isolate myself from the world. Nakakatakot. Nakakatakot ang may ganitong kakayahan.
I search for him in the whole campus. I've checked every building, the library, the gymnasium, the field, the school garden, and even the rooftop again, but he is nowhere to be found. I really need to get that notebook.
I sighed in disappointment and decided to go home hoping that he will not tell anyone what's inside that notebook.
"Where is my notebook? Have you seen it?" mabilis kong tanong. I stared at him waiting for his answer and I noticed the confusion on his face.
I took a deep breath and stared back at him.
"Just give--"
"What is the meaning of those things? Are you some kind of investigator or detective?" he asked. So, nakita niya, nabasa niya.
"It's none of your business. Just give it back." seryoso kong sabi. I heard him giggled and smiled at me. Ano bang problema ng isang 'to? Hindi niya ba ako kilala?
Nilingon ko ang paligid namin and I saw some students staring at us and talking about us. Binalik ko ang tingin sa kanya.
"Just give it back, please."
