Tina's Pov:

I sat in the waiting room with everyone else. Jemma lost the baby and suffers a severe concussion.

They did a procedure to make sure everything was out and she wouldn't get an infection. Thankfully she hasn't woke up from the anesthesia.

Mike is in emergency surgery, has been for the last couple of hours.

The doctors said that if Skip hadn't pulled him out and given him CPR he would have died. Even with his efforts the pulse was so weak that only the machine picked it up. He had several broken bones but the internal damage is what they're worried about.

He lost a lot of blood.

I've never prayed so much in my life.

I couldn't get the broken look Skip had out of my mind. The entire scene was burned into my eyes.

The twisted up truck that looked like it'd been crushed at the junk yard. Mike's limp body covered in blood. Skip almost killing the drunk.

I think I should be freaked that he lost it, but all I thought was that he was doing what I wanted. I wanted to beat that man so badly he couldn't move.

How was it at all fair that he didn't have a bruise on him but Michael was very nearly dead. Especially since the drunk ass hole was the one that caused the crash.

If Mike dies I don't think Jems will survive it, or Skip and his family.

Michael is the glue that holds everyone together and the best thing that's ever happened to Jems. So yeah I totally wanted to be pulverizing that bastard the way Skip did.

I know it's selfish but I prayed that Skip would be able to get out of whatever trouble he was in. It wasn't his fault.

You could tell just by looking at him that he was broken, his screams were filled with so much pain.

Skip's told me about the last time Michael almost died and the emotional scars it left on him.

How he sat with Michael after he got him to the hospital and disobeyed direct orders because he wouldn't leave his little brother's side for a moment, much less another Op.

How even after the physical pain had healed he didn't get the old Michael back until Jemma came and brought him back to life.

That's why he loves her so much, why his whole family love her like their own blood. She brought the peace and happiness back to Michael's life, and he did the same for her.

Which is why me and Jems entire family love Mike so damn much.

I remember Skip saying he never wanted to feel that kind of helpless agony again. I thought he was exaggerating but now I know he wasn't.

That's exactly what tonight was, HELL, feeling lost and useless and so scared to lose someone so wonderful and very important to us all.

They've barely had any time together. It's just not right for it to end like this! After everything they've both endured they deserve their happily ever after.

No one moved or talked, hell it looked like everyone was barely daring to breath.

We talked to the doctors and figured it would be better if she heard about the baby from one of us. If Mike was here it'd be him but he's not so everyone voted for me to do it.

We all agreed to wait as long as possible before we tell her about Mike.

I hear shoes smacking on the floor and looked up. A gasp broke from me when I saw Skip and Officer Donald walking to us. I jumped up from my chair and ran to him.
