Vada

Charli had left Vada about twenty minutes ago, she now sat on a chair in the corner, on her own. She must have looked so odd, all these people around her dancing and having fun whilst she just sat alone and on her phone. She had seen Charli dancing with a boy earlier, he was quite a bit taller than her with the same brown hair but in an eboy style, they all seemed to have. His name might have been Chance or Chase, something like that, she wasn't quite sure.

"You good?" A voice asked her, knocking her phone slightly out of her hand on accident. Vada looked over to see Dixie slumped in the chair next to her, clearly drunk.

"Yeah," Vada smiled, "I'm good, you?"

"Great" Dixie smiled lazily, "so how come Maeve's never introduced you to us? I mean she has done with Violet so why not you?" Dixie questioned, finishing off her drink.

"I'm not sure," Vada started, putting away her phone and looking around the room before finally looking at Dixie, " I guess she thought Violet would get on with you guys better, or that shes just easier to be friends with" Vada laughed at the end as to not sound too serious.

"I think you're cool...you seem nice" Dixie slurred, Vada looked around the room again making eye contact with the dark-haired boy she had seen at the beginning of the night.

"I try" she laughed, making Dixie giggle beside her.

"We haven't talked much, but make sure to come back next time Maeve and Violet do. Here put your number in and we can do something together when we're a bit more sober" Dixie laughed again, pulling out her phone and thrusting it into Vada's hand, she took it and typed in her number before giving it back.

"So how do you know Maeve?" Vada questioned Dixie, of course, she knew it was through Avani but she was just trying to make conversation.

"Well she knew Avani and Avani knows us, so it was inevitable that we'd meet. What about you, how do you know Maeve?"

"We met about seven months ago," Vada started explaining, looking back to the boy, who was still looking at her, "I had known Violet since middle school and she decided to drag me to a party where she introduced me to Maeve, they met over the internet a few years back. We got on so all decided to move in together, we've lived here about a month" Vada explained, she saw Dixie nodding out of the corner of her eyes.

"I get the feeling you'll be around here a lot" Vada could hear the smirk in her voice, so took her eyes away from him and looked at Dixie.

"And whys that?"

"You and Jaden seem to have hit it off, I doubt he'll let you go that easy"

"Jaden?" Vada furrowed her brows, tilting her head slightly.

"The boy you've been making googley eyes at all night" Dixie laughed, not so subtly pointing him out making Vada's cheeks flush brightly.

"What? No, I haven't even spoken to him" Vada finished off her drink keeping her eyes away from Jaden just to make a point.

"You don't need to, trust me he's hooked already" Dixie then stood up and walked away without another word, leaving Vada confused and alone again.

She shook her head, then stood up and walked in the direction of the kitchen to pour herself another drink. She opened the door, seeing only two people in the kitchen, they were two boys that looked very similar.

"Hey," Vada almost whispered as they both looked at her.

"Hi" they replied, one of them looked her up and down, "I'm Tony and this is my brother Ondreaz" Vada waved at them both before turning towards the kitchen island and putting her cup down.

One of the boys, Ondreaz, left the room and soon Tony followed, after staring at Vada for a few extra seconds.

Once they left Vada finally felt like she could breathe, Tonys wondering eyes had intimidated her a bit too much and not in a good way like 'Jadens' had.

Vada looked around the kitchen, trying to find more gin, and soon spotted it on another counter, she walked over to it, reaching over because she was too short to reach it normally when suddenly she felt a presence behind her.

"You okay there..." the voice asked.

Vada swallowed, the person behind her was so close they were touching, if she moved back from her bent over position they would be flat against each other.

"I-i'm okay" she finally let out, turning her head over her shoulder to try and catch a glimpse of who it was.

Jaden.

He was so close that she could only really see the bottom half of his face, he was so much taller than her that it was awkward for her to look at him at this angle, but then everybody was taller than Vadas 5'2 stature.

"You're shaking babygirl" Jaden whispered in her ear, sending shockwaves down her spine. Her ear tingled, his hot breath staying on it for a while.

"No, I'm good" Vada tried to get her breathing steady to back up her point but it was no use, he was so close he could feel how nervous she was.

He only hummed in response, it seemed to run throughout her body, leaving tingles along her skin. His hands rested on her waist, pulling her back from the awkward position she seemed to be stuck in and into an even more awkward one for her. Her breath caught in her throat.

"You sure?" He teased, changing his position to whisper into her other ear.

The night just got a lot more interesting
