"Jaden what the fuck was that!" Vada heard Josh shout as he pushed Jaden into their new apartment, Anthony trailed behind them, closing the door as quietly as he could, a vast contrast to the two boys ahead of him.

Vada and Avani had got to the apartment first, probably a combination of the boys wanted to talk to Jaden or get rid of Ryan and Avani speeding there to get Vada as far away from the situation as possible.

"Jaden!" Josh stopped him, dragging him back by his shoulder, "talk to me! I heard what you said" he was clearly frustrated.

"Josh, leave it..." Anthony spoke softly, making light eye contact with Avani, slight fear in his eyes about the situation getting any worse.

"No, I heard what you said and I want to know why you keep fighting this wasteman" he pointed his arm in a random direction, referring to Ryan, but Jaden only stared at the floor, probably blocking Josh out.

"Josh..." Vada caught his attention.

She really had no choice but to tell him, he'd heard what Jaden said and probably wouldn't drop it until they confessed.

"Me and Jaden...were" she trailed off, making sure to annunciate the 'were', "involved...but not anymore" she tried to explain, seeing Jadens head snap towards her from the corner of her eye.

"Yeah, no shit" his response shocked her, "how long?"

"Since we met..." Vada mumbled, biting her lip.

"This explains so much," Josh mused, falling backwards onto the couch as the group relaxed a little, all sitting down too, expect for Jaden who was still stood in his spot.

"Huh?"

"Well; you guys both disappeared at the party, I saw you go into Ant's room at the movie night then Jaden come out of Ant's room the next morning. Also the fact you came to get him with us from Texas, then you both went on 'separate' spontaneous holidays on the same days" the group fell silent as Josh continued talking, "you guys aren't slick"

Vada sucked in a tight breath, raising her eyebrows and shaking her head in agreement, thinking about it they were quite bad at hiding whatever they were, but thankfully their friends were bad at noticing these details, apart from Anthony of course.

"Yeah well...forget about it, it's nothing now" Jadens cold voice cut them off.

She looked towards him slowly, not wanting to see his face, she could imagine the anger after that sentence.

"Jaden..." Avani warned.

"What? I'm only speaking the truth, we're nothing." He shrugged, a sarcastic smile on his face.

"So why did you fight Ryan?" Josh asked, Vada was actually glad he asked because she was thinking the same thing.

"He's a dickhead"

"And you're not?" Vada cut in, not being able to hold her tongue.

"What's that supposed to mean?" He took a step forward, Vada challenged him by standing up.
