Vada

"Oh, shit," Josh mumbled as he opened the door, stumbling back in surprise as he saw the crying girl in front of him, "Vay are you okay?"

"Um...no, not really" she sniffed, her arms wrapped tightly around her own body as she looked up at the confused boy, "can I come in? I need to speak to...Anthony" she stumbled over her words, knowing that Josh would assume stuff if she asked for Jaden.

"Yeah sure, he's upstairs" Josh stepped back, turning to look over his shoulder at the boys sat in the living room all equally as bewildered.

"Thank you" she sniffed again, waking past him and up the stairs, jogging lightly to get there faster, feeling the hot tears streaming down her face at an alarming rate.

She stopped at the top, looking towards Jadens closed bedroom door before turning to Anthony's and knocking.

"Vada?" He asked, rubbing his eyes as he yawned, stretching his arm, "shit, are you okay?" He instantly woke up when he saw her tears.

"No...i'm not" she admitted, lunging forward and grasping the skinny boy into a hug, "i'm really not"

He wrapped his arms around her shoulders, resting his head on top of hers as he swayed them slightly.

"Is Jaden here?" She asked, pulling back to look up at him, already on her way to Jaden and Josh's shared room.

"Yeah" his eyes widened, "wait! Vada maybe you shouldn't-"

But it was too late.

The small girl had already burst into Jadens room, seeing said boy laid on his back, a girl straddling him her hair covering her face, but that blond hair was recognisable in seconds, especially next to Jaden.

Mads...

"Oh...i'm-i'm s-sorry, um-shit" she stuttered staring at them like a dear caught in head lights.

"Vada?" Mads mumbled, leaning back so that she was no longer leaning over Jaden, just sat on him now, so that Vada could see his shocked face.

"Hi..."

"Vada..." Jaden mumbled sitting up, Mads still not moving, "this isn't-" he trailed off, shock clear on his face as he looked between a confused Mads and the distressed look on Vadas face.

"Are you okay?" He asked once he noticed the tears on her shocked face. He pushed Mads off of him and stood up, taking a few steps towards her but stopped when Vada shook her head.

Vada swallowed, her hand still gripping the door handle. Tears were racing down her face as she watched the two, in all fairness, she had no right to be angry, at Mads at least.

Mads had no clue about them, but Jaden knew he'd hurt her she could see it in his eyes.

He was aware.

"I'm so sorry," she whispered, shutting the door and turning, seeing Anthony stood, his mouth open as he stared at Vada.

"Vay..." he tried to console her, opening his arms as he stepped closer, but Vada only held up her hands, anger rising up in her blood.

"No, Ant" she clenched her jaw, walking past the boy and down the stairs, ignoring the stares of the other boys, still sat on the couch, as she threw the door open and slammed it shut, storming down the steps and towards the road, tears clouding her vision.

How could she be so stupid? Thinking that Jaden actually liked her; that he would think of her as anything other than friends with benefits. Obviously he had made it pretty clear at the beginning that he was only looking for a fling, but that didn't stop Vada from catching feelings.

He's met her family for Gods sake, something she didn't take lightly but clearly he did.

And Anthony, who she thought was her friend must have known about Mads being in Jadens room because he had tried to stop her from going in, not that she would ever think about blaming him, she was just upset and blaming everybody.

The only person thats she could blame was herself for catching feelings for a boy like Jaden, a boy who she thought had changed through out their 'relationship' or whatever you want to call it.

"Vada?" A voice interrupted her thought, "oh my God, Vay are you okay?" The voice asked again, causing Vada to finally look up, she hadn't even noticed that she and stopped at the end of their road.

When she looked up Vada saw Avani with her head stuck out of a car window, her face worried.

"What's wrong?" She opened the door, leaving the car running and slowly making her way to she shaking girl.

"Jaden...Mads, they-they" she sobbed, stumbling over her words, but Avani seemed to understand where she was going.

"Oh honey, come here" she grasped Vada in a hug before dragging her to the car and pushing her into the passenger seat, "I was meant to be seeing Anthony but you're way more important right now" she said, getting in to the drivers side and turning the car around.

"Vani no-"

"No, Vay. We're going back to my place to eat ice cream, watch movies and talk shit about boys" Avani nodded with a stern nod, showing that she wouldn't be changing her mind anytime soon.

"But Anthony-"

"Can suck it up and cry his heart out, you need a friend right now" Avani reached across to grab Vadas hand and squeezed it as they continued driving in silence, the radio filling the empty space.

"So," Avani started, pushing Vada onto her bed with a large spoon in her hand and a tub of ice cream in front of them, "start from the beginning, the very beginning"

"Well, I guess it started at the party..."
