Vada

"It's a shame that Maeve's only just brought you round, you're hot" The boy in front of Vada spoke, it was the same boy that stared at her in the kitchen earlier that night, Tony.

"Oh-um, thank you" Vada replied politely with a tight-lipped smile, looking anywhere but at the boy.

"Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing you again. Maybe alone next time" He smirked, taking a step towards Vada, to which she took a step backwards.

The boy seemed nice enough but in his intoxicated state, he slightly scared Vada. He had spotted her standing alone and probably wanted to keep her company, it had just come off more creepy than nice.

"Oh, maybe" She mused back, looking around the room in the awkward silence that followed.

"It could be fun, we could get to know each other better" she could hear the smirk in his voice as he spoke, she tuned him out as she made eye contact with the same blue-green eyes as she had earlier that same night.

Jaden smirked back at her, still talking in his group. Around him was a boy, taller than him and quite skinny, Nessa was hugging his side. He seemed to notice her nervousness yet made no move to do something about it, leaving her to get out of this situation herself.

"-I mean Maeve's pretty and all but you-" she heard as she turned back to him, only for him to suddenly be cut off by Maeve herself.

"Hey Tony, nice to see you again"

"You too Mae" he smirked, leaning against the wall and licking his lips.

"Vada, toilet?" She widened her eyes slightly as if to say 'come with me now' and Vada soon caught on.

"Yeah, let's go." She grabbed onto Maeve's arm and started walking away, "bye Tony" They didn't wait for his reply.

"Thank you, so much" Vada let out a large breath as she closed the bathroom door behind her, locking it.

"You looked like you needed help" Maeve laughed, looking into the mirror and using her finger to fix her eyebrows, "you might as well have been shouting 'Mayday'" the girls laughed as Vada walked to join her.

"He was...keen" Maeve laughed again.

"You could call it that." She took her hands away from her face and just looked at the mirror for a second before turning to face Vada, "Come on, you can sit with us. We'll keep you safe"

Vada laughed and nodded before opening the door, letting Maeve go first and lead her towards her previous seat. Maeve took her seat next to Avani and Vada sat next to her. Upon seeing Vada, Avani grabbed onto Anthony's hand before smiling at her, weird.

"Hey Vay" Violet greeted her, smiling and drinking some more from her red solo cup.

"Hey guy, what are you doing?"

"We were about to play truth or dare" Avani stated, moving closer to Anthony, "we were just waiting for more people" as she said that a small group came to join them, there was Tony, his brother, the boy talking to Jaden earlier, Nessa and Jaden himself. He sat next to Vada, his arm over the sofa resting just above her head. Jaden was sat close but not close enough for others to notice, his thigh leaned against her own, the body heat invaded her cold naked thigh.

"Ready? I'll go first" Ondreaz spoke when everybody was settled, "Tony, truth or dare?"

"Dare" he stated, glancing at Vada.

"I dare you to," he trailed off, looking around the room. "Do two shots"

"Easy" Tony smirked, reaching towards a bottle of Vodka on the table and taking the top off, he drank straight from the bottle instead of getting a shot glass. The boys in the group cheered him on.

Vada laughed as he coughed, closing the bottle once again. The game continued for a bit with a lot more drinking and finding out about Anthony's crush on his second-grade teacher, Vada was actually having a good time.

Jaden hadn't spoken a word to her, or much in general. He had picked 'dare' whenever he was asked, Vada got the vibe that he was quite the opposite of an open book. He didn't seem to like sharing much about himself, this was her first night meeting him and even she could see that.

Vada leaned forward to take a shot, a dare that Avani had given her, and when she leaned back against the couch she felt him laugh.

"What?" She asked, looking towards him.

"Lightweight" Jaden joked, shaking his head.

"Hey!" She joked, "I thought we already established that you don't know anything about me" Vada smiled at him, staring into his eyes and he stared back.

Jaden stayed silent for a second, smirking deeply, his eyes squinting slightly.

"I know you're a lightweight" He whispered after a while, he moved his arm from behind her head and brought his hand down to rest on her thigh.

Vada inhaled quickly, looking around to see if anybody was paying attention, only to see Anthony smirking back at her. His eyes seemed to say 'caught you' Vada giggled to herself.

"Vada," she was snapped out of her gaze by Tony's voice, "truth or dare?"

"Truth" She received a playful eye roll from a few around the group but she didn't mind. She had mostly picked dare so far and didn't feel like moving from the position she and Jaden were in, even the brief contact put a smile on her face.

"Are you a virgin?" he spoke so casually, but Vada nearly coughed up her drink.

"What?" She laughed, a few people laughed with her.

"You heard me" Tony joked, squinting his eyes.

Vada was never a closed-off person, she had a habit of keeping her heart on her sleeve, but she didn't feel like spilling her life story to the group just yet. She felt Jadens hand tighten on her thigh and could feel him looking down at her.

"Um-" she started before a loud shout cut her off.

"Bryce! Get down" A girls voice shouted.

"Bryce is on the roof!" Another shouted into the house.

"What?" Anthony shouted back, looking around the group before standing up and going towards the door to have a look. The other joined them until it was just Vada and Violet left.

"This house is crazy"
