Vada had never been to Jaden's new apartment, they'd fallen apart before he could bring her round.

So it was awkward that her first time in his new bedroom was her sat on his gaming chair and him on the bed, his hands clasped together and eyes hiding anger.

Avani had forced the two into the room when Vada had calmed down, telling them that, for the sake of both of them, they should talk.

"Jae-"

"Va-"

They both started, letting out a light laugh when they noticed. He pointed to her, allowing her go go first.

"Jae...these past few months have been so hard,I felt so alone, like I had nobody..." she trailed off, staring at his floor, not meeting his eyes, "everything happened so fast, just one bad thing after another and I hated it"

"I'm sorry" he spoke, not knowing what else to say, "i'm so fucking sorry Vay, I should have been there"

She pursed her lips, nodding as she finally looked at him.

"Yeah, you should have been"

"I will be now-"

"We don't work Jae" she interrupted him, seeing his face drop as he leaned his hand on his knees.

"Yes we do!" His face held desperation, he needed her to believe him.

"No, Jae listen..." he leaned bad as she stood up, slowly making her way towards him before sitting on the bed next to him, angling her knees away from him, "we don't work like this, I don't work like this. I'm a mess-"

"So am I"

"We're both messes, apart," she held his hands in her own, finally looking into his eyes, "everything is so hard apart" she bit her lip, tears pricking at the corner of her eyes.

"So lets not be apart anymore, we can sort this out" his eyebrows raised as he nodded to himself, "go back to how we used to be"

Vada scoffed and shook her head, moving her hands back to her own knees.

"It's not that easy Jae"

"Why!" He nearly shouted, "the only reason its not that easy is because you're making it hard Vay" he brought his tone down, not wanting to shout at her but needing to let his anger out.

"Jae-"

"I fucked up, Vay" he choked out, holding his hands up as he stood slowly, standing in front of her, "I fucked up so fucking bad and i'm sorry, i'm so fucking sorry" she let out a light laugh as he swore more, shaking her head as she remembered their first night meeting when he called her out for swearing, "so sorry..."

"I know you are, Jae, but-"

"I admit, right here, right now" he licked his lips as he started, shaking his head, disappointed in himself, "when we were, whatever we were" he paused to roll his eyes slightly, "Me and Mads did kiss, and it nearly went further until you walked in"
