⋆Vada⋆"Ew, it's spiky" Jaden complained as he pulled his hand out of the water, the starfish he just poked moving slightly.
"You're not meant to poke them, stupid" she shook her head, "you're meant to stroke them, like this" she put her own hand in the water, stroking the back of her finger across the surface before pulling her hand out.
"You call me stupid a lot" he pointed out, moving her to look at him, leaning her against a wall lightly.
"Well, you're just stupid a lot" she joked, moving her hands to wrap around his neck, careful not to put her wet hand on his shirt.
"I think I deserve a better nickname" he nodded, squinting his eyes lightly.
"Baby? Bubba? Darling?" She drug out 'darling' in a 1950's British accent.
"Daddy?" He spoke lowly, smirking deeply.
Vada started laughing, getting ready to reply when she was interrupted by a mother gasping and directing her small son away by his shoulders, shaking her head.
"You should be ashamed" she scolded, walking towards a small man with glasses, probably to bitch about the 'youths' being disgusting in the starfish room.
"What's up with her?" Jaden joked, shrugging his shoulders.
"Maybe this, added to the fact you pushed her over earlier..."
"I did?"
"You did" she nodded, only making him laugh again.
"I think we should give her something to be disgusted by"he said, smirking.
"Oh, yeah?" She reached forward, hooking her fingers into the loops of his jeans and pulling him forward.
He leaned down, resting his hands on either side of her, leaning against the wall.
"Because I don't" she turned her head at the last second, connecting her cheek to his lips, giggling as he pulled back with an astonished look on his face.
"Wow...real nice" he joked, walking away and into the next room, the gift shop.
Vada was about to follow him when she was stopped by a small boy pulling at her skirt.
"Hey there" she smiled, leaning down to his level.
"I'm Luke," he stuttered.
"Hi, Luke. I'm Vada"
"are you a fairy?" He asked, a slight speech impediment to his young voice. Vada laughed, looking at the mystical look in his eyes.
"Why yes I am" she told him, winking at the women stood above him.
"Woah" he smiled even bright, showing off his little pearly white teeth, "can I be a fairy?" He asked.
"Of course you can, here" she closed her eyes and breathed out slowly, taking his small hand in here, "there you go, fairy Luke"
"Awesome!" He shouted, running off to a young girl across the room, flapping his arms like a bird.
"Thank you, that was very nice of you" the women, who Vada assumed was his mother, told her.
"It's fine, he's adorable" she said laughing.
"By any chance..." the women started, licking her lips, "are you looking for a job?"
"Yes, actually" Vada told her in shock, she knew she already had a job but the minimum wage at her work weren't exactly getting her by.
"Would you like to babysit him some time? Not a full time nanny, but when our in home nanny goes out."she explained, "it'll be him and his older sisters, seven" the women explained, pointing towards a young girl, flapping her wings with Luke, "and fourteen" Vada looked for the other daughter but didn't see one.
"Yes, that's be perfect, can I give you my number?" The women nodded before taking our her phone and giving it to Vada.
"Thank you, text me when ever i'm needed..."
"Mary" the women stuck out her hand.
"Vada" she smiled, shaking it, "thank you" she waved goodbye, walking to the gift ship to try and find Jaden.
"There you are, finally" he said once he spotted her, putting away his phone, "ready to go?" She nodded, taking his hand.
"Wait" he stopped her, putting a bag into her grip.
"What's this?"
"A present" he smiled, proud of himself.
"Jaden" she smiled lightly, pouting lightly, "that's so sweet, you didn't have to" she opened the bag and pulled out a small, pink, turtle teddy with large plastic eyes. She hugged it to her chest, smiling up at him, "thank you so much, I love it!"
He smiled, rolling his eyes before pulling her into a hug.
"Come on, lets go back"
"Is anyone home?" He asked as she unlocked her front door.
"No" she replied chucking her keys on the kitchen counter, "they're at Sway, they think i'm working till 7pm" she told him, walking further into the apartment and towards her room, he followed.
"You share?" He asked, noticing the other bed.
"Yeah, with Violet," she told him, "me and Maeve in a room together would not end too well" he raised an eyebrow, "we don't always see eye to eye"
"But you guys are still friends?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow in confusion.
"Well yeah, why loose a friend over little stupid arguments?" she told him, jumping onto the bed, he nodded before joining her.
"So...you share a room, and I share a room" he stated, looking to the ceiling.
"Yep"
"That is unfortunate" she nodded along, not seeing where he was going.
"So, I guess we should make the most of this alone time" he smirked, rolling over until he was over top of her, leaning in quickly to kiss her.
"I guess we should" she mumbled as he leaned down to kiss her neck, unbuttoning her cropped cardigan and starting to pull it down her arms.
She sat in slightly to pull it off then starting taking off his shirt, feeling his hands roaming her thighs as she wrapped around her legs around his waist.
This had turned out to be one hell of a day.
