TW mention of suicide

Vada

"We need to talk"

His head rose slowly, looking away from her. He was sat on the floor, his legs crossed as he stared out of the full wall window.

"Do you have any idea how many people you've hurt tonight?" She asked him, feeling her fists ball by her sides.

"Me?" He let out a slight scoff, "this is all your fault" she could see him shaking his head.

Vada could practically feel her blood boiling as he spoke, her whole body tensing up in anger and frustration.

"What?"

"You heard me," he turned his head, still sat towards the window, "if you hadn't told Josh, then I wouldn't have had to do this; you've brought this on yourself"

"Fuck you!" She gritted, her legs finally moving as she stalked towards him, stood right behind him but he didn't even flinch.

"Fuck you, fuck you! You can't blame this on me, you hurt Charli, you hurt Josh and you've hurt all of your so called 'friends' that you outed tonight" she told him, frustrated as he wouldn't look at her.

"You let the secret go, Vay-"

"No! You fucked over everybody and, like always, you don't want to take some responsibility for anything. Grow up, Chase!" She shouted, sure that veins were popping out of her forehead as she did.

"Vay-"

"No, shut the fuck up, you don't get to defend yourself; you have hurt everybody in your life, even Nick who's supposed to be your best friend,-"

"What's wrong with Nick?" He finally looked at her, worry on his face at the mention of his best friends misfortunes.

"Jaden kicked the shit out of him" Vada told him, a sob escaping her mouth, "and it's your fault"

"No-"

"Yes! You are the reason he is hurt, you are the one that hurt Charli and you are the reason that you will loose all of your friends"

Vada let out heavy breaths as she finished her shouting, her whole body moving with her. Admittedly, she might have gone over the top; letting out her frustration to Jaden on Chase.

But he deserves it, she told herself, staring at his back.

Chase's arms were wrapped around his still crossed knees, pulled up to his chest, his chin resting onto his knees.

But, even through the blood pumping through her ears, she could hear his sudden sob.

"Chase?" She questioned in a soft voice as she bent down, her hand ghosting over his back, "are you-" she started to ask but the breath was knocked out of her when he turned suddenly, pulling her body into his as he sobbed hard into her shoulder.

Vada rubbed his back tentatively, one hand holding the back of his head, not sure what to do.

"It's okay...it's okay" she lulled him as if he was a crying child, swaying the two back and forth as he cried some more.
