Vada

"Vada I don't-" Jaden started talking as soon as they walked into an empty room but stopped as Vada held up her hand, zipping her finger across her mouth in a mocking way, only receiving a small grumble of anger from him as he sat down, leaning back and crossing his arms in annoyance.

"Va-"

"Ah,ah,ah" she cut Nick off as well, repeating her previous action and pointing to a seat, silently telling him to sit down too.

"I speak, then you do," she stopped, "in turns, either of you start fighting and I will throw you out the window" she threatened, pointing her finger at them in turn.

"Nick" she started, not missing an eye roll for Jaden, " I am sorry for any hate you'll get for this, it wasn't my intention to lead you on and i'm sorry if you felt that I did" she stopped to take a breath, but he started to talk.

"You didn't lead me on, it happened and you stopped it and that's okay" he told her, his lip curving up at the end before falling again as he looked towards Jaden, who was probably daydreaming about jumping out of his chair and launching himself at Nick.

"Thank you Nick, but I'm still sorry, and Jaden..." she looked towards him, catching his attention.

"We started our relationship as a secret, and that was good for a while but ultimately it was our downfall, being in the dark was the reason anything happened between you and Mads-"

"No, me being an asshole is how that happened" he cut in, forcing a soft laugh from her. He could always make her feel better.

"Yeah, that too. But then we made it official, and I have never been happier" he smiled back at her, both of them too lost in the moment to notice Nicks gulp and sad eyes.

"I love you...Jae" she whispered, "so much, and I hate that we fought over this, I trust you, I really do, and I hope that you trust me too" a tear came to her eye, but she wiped it away before it could fall, waiting for his response; scared of the rejection that could come her way.

But she was pleasantly surprised when he smiled brightly, standing up and walking towards her, holding her cheeks in his hands.

"I love you too, Vay" she smiled back, shaking her head as she looked into his eyes, staring into them lovingly.

They were stuck in their own bubble, as if they were back to their sunrise aliases; where nobody knew them and they could live in a day dream of running away together for a better life.

However, no matter how they felt it was just them, Nick was there too.

He was sat to the side, biting his lip so hard, to stop a sob, that he drew blood. Nick was aware that he never had a real chance with Vada; he was there when needed but she belonged with Jaden, they were end game.

Everybody knew it.

He didn't know what it was about Vada. She was just another girl, apart from the pink hair and unique clothes, but she was more than that.

She was nice, the most loving person he had ever met; yet she wasn't afraid of a fight, especially if it was for her friends. She was loyal, looked out for people even if they didn't like her.
